Finished Size and Construction

  • Garden mat: Approximately 20 inches across, including the scalloped edging.
  • Greenhouse: Approximately 8.5 inches wide, 6.5 inches deep, and 10 inches tall.

Child-safety note: Replace safety eyes, wire, dowels, and rigid plastic with embroidered features and soft stuffing when making the set for a child under three years old. Secure every small vegetable, mushroom, and accessory permanently.

Care Notes

Spot-clean the finished garden with cool water and a mild detergent. Avoid soaking the greenhouse, tree, beds, and wheelbarrow because their internal supports may bend. Allow the set to dry naturally on a flat towel away from strong sunlight and direct heat.

Quick Checklist Before You Finish

  • All greenhouse corners are square and the roof ridge is centered.
  • The tree is firmly anchored and does not tip when the bunny is attached.
  • All eyes, noses, vegetables, mushrooms, pots, and tools are secure.
  • The greenhouse doorway remains open and unobstructed.
  • The stepping-stone path curves naturally toward the entrance.
  • The tomato vine and vegetable rows are evenly spaced.
  • The wheel turns freely unless it has been permanently stitched for child safety.
  • All yarn tails are woven through at least five nearby stitches.

Detailed Cleaning and Preservation Guidelines

Remove loose dust with a soft makeup brush or a handheld vacuum set to its lowest power. Cover the vacuum nozzle with clean mesh so small accessories cannot be pulled away.

For stains, press a damp white cloth against the affected stitches. Do not scrub the surface because cotton yarn may become fuzzy. Blot away soap residue with a second cloth and support the piece in its original shape while drying.

Store the garden inside a wide box with acid-free tissue around the tree branches and greenhouse roof. Do not stack heavy objects above it. Keep the set away from moisture, pets, smoke, and prolonged sunlight to preserve the pale blue, green, and natural woodland colors.
