This garden panda amigurumi features a large white panda head, black rounded ears, black eye patches, bright green safety eyes, a tiny embroidered nose, and a pink tongue. The panda wears turquoise blue striped overalls with soft yellow bands, small flower details, a crossbody flower bag, matching sun hat, sandals, plus a mini watering can and potted succulent.
Please note: I strive for accuracy in every pattern, but occasional errors can happen. Thank you for understanding and for enjoying my designs.
Finished Size
Using DK weight cotton yarn and a 2.5 mm hook, the seated panda measures about 9.5 inches tall from the bottom of the feet to the top of the head. The sun hat is about 5 inches wide across the brim. The sandals, bag, watering can, and potted plant are small removable garden accessories.
Skill Level
This pattern is best for confident beginners or intermediate crocheters. The main body uses basic amigurumi shaping, while the overalls, flowers, bag, hat, sandals, watering can, and plant add small detailed pieces. Read through the full pattern once before starting so the colors and assembly positions are clear.

Pattern Notes
- Work in continuous rounds unless a section says to join.
- Use a stitch marker to mark the first stitch of each round.
- Stuff the head firmly, the body medium-firm, and the arms lightly.
- Change color on the final yarn-over of the stitch before the new color begins.
- The panda is designed in a seated pose with large black feet facing forward.
- The turquoise and pale yellow stripe pattern appears on the overalls, hat band, sandals, and bag.
- For a neat toy, keep all yarn tails hidden inside the pieces after sewing.
Gauge
Gauge is not critical, but the stitches must be tight enough so stuffing does not show. With DK cotton and a 2.5 mm hook, 6 sc by 6 rounds should measure about 1 inch square. If your stitches are loose, use a smaller hook.
Panda Head
Use white yarn. The head is large, round, and slightly wider than the body, matching the soft chubby panda face in the image. Stuff firmly as you decrease so the face keeps a smooth rounded shape.

- Eyebrows: With black embroidery thread, stitch one small curved eyebrow above each patch over Rnds 11 to 12, about 5 stitches long.
Black Ears
Make 2 with black yarn. The ears are rounded, thick, and sewn high on the head, giving the panda its soft garden-toy look. Do not overstuff them; they should stay slightly flattened against the head.

Assembly Order

- Sew the muzzle in place and add the black nose, mouth line, smile, tongue, and eyebrows.
- Sew the ears to the top sides of the head.
- Sew the head to the black body, making sure the muzzle faces the center front.
- Sew the legs to the lower front body, angled outward so the pink paw pads face forward.
- Sew the arms to the sides of the body between Rnds 24 and 27, letting them hang naturally beside the overalls.
- Slide the striped overall shorts onto the body and secure them with small hidden stitches at the waist and sides.
- Sew the front bib flat against the body and attach the shoulder straps over the shoulders.
- Add flower buttons, flower embroidery, and green leaf stitches to the overalls.
- Sew the crossbody bag strap diagonally from left shoulder to right hip and attach the bag at the lower right side.
- Sew the flower hair clip to the upper right side of the head.
- Place the sun hat, sandals, watering can, and potted succulent beside the panda as removable accessories.
Final Assembly and Facial Detailing
Check that the head is centered before tightening the final sewing stitches. The panda should sit upright with the large head balanced over the body. Add extra stitches at the back of the neck if the head tilts forward.
Shape the cheeks by gently pressing the sides of the muzzle after stuffing. The black patches should frame the green eyes evenly. The tongue should sit just below the smile line and remain visible, giving the panda the same sweet expression shown in the image.
For the final garden look, make sure the overalls sit high on the belly, the yellow stripes are horizontal, and the crossbody strap travels cleanly across the chest. The bag should rest at the panda’s right hip with the large flower facing forward.

Detailed Cleaning and Preservation Guidelines
To preserve the panda’s shape, avoid soaking the finished toy. Use a soft cloth to clean dusty areas, especially around the white head and black eye patches. For small stains, dab gently instead of rubbing.
Store the panda in a dry place away from strong sunlight. Long exposure to sunlight may fade turquoise, pale yellow, and pink yarn. Keep the removable sandals, hat, watering can, and potted plant in a small fabric bag when not displayed.
If the overalls or bag flatten during storage, reshape them by hand. Smooth the hat brim flat and lightly press the flowers back into position. With gentle care, this garden panda will stay bright, cute, and ready for display season after season.
