Important Notes for a Photo-Matching Look
Use a tight tension so the stitches look smooth and even. Stuff firmly but gently, shaping as you go. The bunny’s hat sits low like a cloche and the ears drape beneath it. The dress is a simple A-line skirt with scattered pom-poms and a pom edge along the hem.
Keep the jacket short, ending above the widest part of the skirt. The shoes are rounded with a small bow on top. The purse is cream with a bow and a short handle. The pig companion is small, striped at the shirt, and wears a tiny hat.

Main Bunny Doll
Head (Tan)
The bunny has a round head with a smooth face and small black eyes. The muzzle is defined by embroidery rather than an added snout. Work in continuous rounds. Use a stitch marker to track the first stitch of each round.
- R1: 6 sc in MR (6)
- R2: inc in each st (12)
- R3: (sc, inc) x6 (18)
- R4: (2 sc, inc) x6 (24)
- R5: (3 sc, inc) x6 (30)
- R6: (4 sc, inc) x6 (36)
- R7: (5 sc, inc) x6 (42)
- R8–R14: sc around (42)
Place eyes between R10 and R11, about 8–9 stitches apart. If using safety eyes, install now. If embroidering, mark the positions with pins so spacing stays even. Begin stuffing with small pieces of fiberfill, smoothing lumps as you go.
- R15: (5 sc, dec) x6 (36)
- R16: (4 sc, dec) x6 (30)
- R17: (3 sc, dec) x6 (24)
- R18: (2 sc, dec) x6 (18)
- R19: (sc, dec) x6 (12)
- R20: dec x6 (6)
Fasten off, close the hole, and weave in ends. Keep the head slightly oval rather than perfectly round by shaping with your hands. The cloche hat will sit low and looks best when the head is gently rounded at the crown.
Ears (Make 2, Tan)
The ears are long and floppy, hanging down. They attach low on the head and are partly covered by the hat brim. Work the ears in rounds, then fold and stitch the base for a flat attachment.
- R1: 6 sc in MR (6)
- R2: (sc, inc) x3 (9)
- R3: sc around (9)
- R4: (2 sc, inc) x3 (12)
- R5–R18: sc around (12)
- R19: (2 sc, dec) x3 (9)
- R20–R22: sc around (9)
Lightly stuff only the top 1–2 inches if you want a fuller ear base. Leave the rest unstuffed so the ear drapes. Flatten the opening and stitch closed. Fasten off with a long tail for sewing.
Body (Tan)
The body is a simple oval cylinder with a slightly narrower neck. The dress will cover the lower portion, so focus on smooth shaping. Work in continuous rounds and stuff firmly for stability under the skirt.
- R1: 6 sc in MR (6)
- R2: inc in each st (12)
- R3: (sc, inc) x6 (18)
- R4: (2 sc, inc) x6 (24)
- R5: (3 sc, inc) x6 (30)
- R6: (4 sc, inc) x6 (36)
- R7–R10: sc around (36)
Create a gentle waist so the dress sits nicely. This waist should not be sharp. A small taper helps the jacket lay flat and keeps the skirt from bulging too much at the top.
- R11: (4 sc, dec) x6 (30)
- R12–R14: sc around (30)
- R15: (4 sc, inc) x6 (36)
- R16–R20: sc around (36)
- R21: (4 sc, dec) x6 (30)
- R22: sc around (30)
Stuff firmly. The bottom should be slightly flat so the bunny stands. If needed, insert a small circle of plastic canvas in the base (optional). Continue closing the body while maintaining shape.
- R23: (3 sc, dec) x6 (24)
- R24: (2 sc, dec) x6 (18)
- R25: (sc, dec) x6 (12)
- R26: dec x6 (6)
Fasten off, close, weave in ends. Set aside.
Arms (Make 2, Tan)
The arms are simple tubes with rounded hands. They sit slightly forward, letting the doll look like it could hold the candies or purse. Stuff lightly so they remain soft.
- R1: 6 sc in MR (6)
- R2: inc in each st (12)
- R3–R5: sc around (12)
- R6: (2 sc, dec) x3 (9)
- R7–R18: sc around (9)
📌Thank you for reading the article
Stuff the hand and lower arm lightly. Flatten the opening and stitch closed. Fasten off with a long tail for sewing.
Legs (Make 2, Tan)
The legs are slightly longer than the arms and fit inside the shoes. Stuff firmly so the doll stands. The shoes will cover the foot, so the leg can end as a rounded tube.
- R1: 6 sc in MR (6)
- R2: inc in each st (12)
- R3: (sc, inc) x6 (18)
- R4–R6: sc around (18)
- R7: (sc, dec) x6 (12)
- R8–R22: sc around (12)
Stuff firmly. Flatten the opening and stitch closed. Fasten off with a long tail for sewing. You will stitch the legs to the body after the dress is prepared, so placement aligns with the skirt.
Tail Pom (Dusty Rose)
The bunny has a small rose pom tail peeking from behind the dress. Keep it rounded and small so it does not push the skirt outward.
- R1: 6 sc in MR (6)
- R2: inc in each st (12)
- R3: sc around (12)
- R4: (sc, dec) x4 (8)
Stuff lightly, fasten off, and close. Leave a tail for sewing.
Outfit
Dusty-Rose Dress (Bodice + Skirt, with Pom-Poms)
The dress is a single piece worked from the top down. The bodice is snug and simple, then the skirt flares with increases. Small bobbles sit around the skirt and a bobble trim finishes the hem. Keep the dress length to mid-calf like the photo.
Bodice (Dusty Rose)
- Ch 36, join with sl st to form a ring, taking care not to twist.
- R1: ch 1, sc in each ch around (36)
- R2–R6: sc around (36)
This bodice should fit the bunny torso snugly. If your bunny is larger or smaller, adjust the starting chain by multiples of 2. The dress sits under the jacket, so the upper chest should remain smooth without bulky stitches.
Empire Waist Transition
- R7: (5 sc, inc) x6 (42)
- R8: sc around (42)
- R9: (6 sc, inc) x6 (48)
The dress in the photo looks slightly gathered, but not ruffled. These increases create a gentle flare. If you want more flare, add one more increase round, but keep it subtle so the skirt keeps the clean bell shape.
Skirt Body and Pom Placement
- R10: sc around (48)
- R11: (7 sc, inc) x6 (54)
- R12: sc around (54)
- R13: (8 sc, inc) x6 (60)
- R14–R18: sc around (60)
Add the larger skirt pom-poms as you work. In the photo, there are several rose pom clusters around the lower skirt and a few along the hem. To match that look, place bobbles every 10–12 stitches on selected rounds rather than on every stitch.
- Pom Round A (choose R16): sc 5, bobble, sc 10, bobble, sc 10, bobble, sc 10, bobble, sc to end.
- Next round: sc around, working sc in the top of each bobble.
Repeat a similar scattered placement on a later round, such as R18, shifting the bobbles so they look randomly spaced. Keep the bobbles facing outward and trim yarn tails carefully so the skirt stays neat.
Hem Trim with Small Pom Edge
- R19: (9 sc, inc) x6 (66)
- R20–R21: sc around (66)
Switch to deeper rose for the hem pom trim if you want stronger contrast. If you prefer a softer look, keep the same dusty rose. The photo shows pom texture clearly, so a slightly deeper rose often reads best.
- R22 (Pom Edge): *sc 3, bobble* repeat around.
- R23: sc around in dusty rose to frame the pom edge (optional, for a cleaner finish).
📌Thank you for reading the article
Fasten off and weave in ends carefully on the inside. Slide the dress onto the bunny from the feet upward. The bodice should sit just under the jacket opening.
Cream Jacket (Short Cardigan Style)
The jacket is worked in rows. It has long sleeves, a short body, and a simple open front. The photo shows a soft texture without heavy ribbing, so use mostly single crochet with a neat edge. Add a small rose pom at the neckline like the photo’s center accent.
Back Panel (Cream)
- Ch 29.
- Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook and across (28), ch 1 turn.
- Row 2–Row 16: sc across (28), ch 1 turn.
Do not add too much length. The jacket should end above the skirt’s widest point. If your row height differs, adjust by 1–2 rows. Keep edges straight and corners square for a tailored look.
Front Panels (Cream, Make 2)
- Ch 15.
- Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook and across (14), ch 1 turn.
- Row 2–Row 16: sc across (14), ch 1 turn.
On the opening edge of each front panel, add a neat border: work 1 sc per row along the edge. This helps the jacket hang smoothly and gives a clean finish without thick ribbing.
Shoulders and Body Assembly
Place front panels on top of the back panel, aligning the top edges. Seam the shoulders for about 4 stitches on each side, leaving a neck opening in the center. Then seam the sides down, leaving armholes.
Sleeves (Cream, Make 2)
Sleeves are worked in rounds directly onto the armholes for a smooth join. If you prefer, you may work them flat and sew, but joining in rounds reduces bulk.
- Join yarn at armhole. Work 28 sc evenly around the opening.
- R1–R10: sc around (28)
- R11: (5 sc, dec) x4 (24)
- R12–R15: sc around (24)
- R16: (4 sc, dec) x4 (20)
- R17–R20: sc around (20)
Fasten off and weave in. The cuff in the photo looks soft and plain, not tight. If you want a slight cuff edge, add one round of sl st or one round of sc in BLO at the end.
Neckline Rose Pom (Dusty Rose)
- R1: 6 sc in MR (6)
- R2: inc in each st (12)
- R3: sc around (12)
- R4: (sc, dec) x4 (8)
Stuff lightly, close, and sew at the jacket neckline center. This mimics the small rose accent at the collar area in the photo.
Cream Cloche Hat with Amaranth Pom
The hat sits low, covering the crown and partly covering the ears. It is shaped like a cloche with a short brim. A small rose pom sits on the right side of the brim.
Hat Crown (Cream)
- R1: 6 sc in MR (6)
- R2: inc in each st (12)
- R3: (sc, inc) x6 (18)
- R4: (2 sc, inc) x6 (24)
- R5: (3 sc, inc) x6 (30)
- R6: (4 sc, inc) x6 (36)
- R7–R10: sc around (36)
Test the fit on the bunny head. The hat should sit low and snug without stretching. If it is too small, add one more increase round to 42, then work even. If it is too large, stop increases earlier and work more even rounds.
Cloche Sides and Brim
- R11: sc around in BLO (36)
- R12–R15: sc around (36)
- R16: (5 sc, inc) x6 (42)
- R17: sc around (42)
- R18: (6 sc, inc) x6 (48)
- R19: sc around (48)
📌Thank you for reading the article
Fasten off and weave in. The brim should curve slightly downward like a cloche. If you want more downward curve, add a final round of hdc around. Keep it subtle so it does not look like a wide sunhat.
Hat Amaranth Pom (Deep Rose)
This small pom sits on the right side of the hat brim. Make it round and textured.
- R1: 6 sc in MR (6)
- R2: (bobble in each st) around (6 bobbles total)
Fasten off with a long tail. Stitch firmly to the hat brim on the right side. Tug gently to ensure it is secure.
Shoes (Cream) with Bow (Dusty Rose)
The shoes are rounded slip-ons with a small bow centered on each toe. In the photo, the shoes are cream and the bow is dusty rose. The shoe sits over the bunny foot and is lightly tacked in place.
Sole (Make 2, Cream)
- Ch 9.
- R1: sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc 6, 3 sc in last ch; working down other side: sc 6, 2 sc in last (17)
- R2: inc, sc 6, inc x3, sc 6, inc x2 (24)
- R3: sc, inc, sc 6, (sc, inc) x3, sc 6, (sc, inc) x2 (31)
Upper (Cream)
- R4: sc around in BLO (31)
- R5–R7: sc around (31)
- R8: sc 8, dec x3, sc to end (28)
- R9: sc around (28)
- R10: sc 8, dec x3, sc to end (25)
- R11: sc around (25)
Test fit on the bunny foot. If the opening is too tight, add a round even. If too loose, add one more decrease set at the front. Fasten off with a long tail and sew a small back seam to snug the heel if needed.
Bow (Make 2, Dusty Rose)
- Ch 8.
- Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook and across (7), ch 1 turn.
- Row 2–Row 5: sc across (7), ch 1 turn.
Fasten off. Pinch the center of the rectangle and wrap yarn around the center tightly 6–8 times to form a bow. Sew the bow to the shoe toe center. Add a tiny knot stitch in the middle for a neat finish.
Purse (Cream) with Rose Bow
The purse is a small rounded handbag with a short handle and a dusty-rose bow on the front. Keep it petite, like in the photo, so it reads as a doll accessory rather than a full bag.
Purse Base (Cream)
- R1: 6 sc in MR (6)
- R2: inc in each st (12)
- R3: (sc, inc) x6 (18)
- R4: (2 sc, inc) x6 (24)
- R5: (3 sc, inc) x6 (30)
- R6: sc around (30)
- R7: sc around in BLO (30)
- R8–R12: sc around (30)
Lightly stuff or leave unstuffed for a soft bag. Fold the top opening closed and stitch across the top to close, leaving a small gap if you want it to look slightly open. Fasten off and weave in ends.
Handle (Cream)
- Ch 22.
- Row 1: sl st in 2nd ch from hook and across (21).
Fasten off. Sew ends of handle to the top corners of the purse. Keep the handle upright like a small loop.
Purse Bow (Dusty Rose)
Make the same bow as the shoe bow, but slightly larger for visibility.
📌Thank you for reading the article
- Ch 10.
- Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook and across (9), ch 1 turn.
- Row 2–Row 6: sc across (9), ch 1 turn.
Pinch and wrap center. Sew to the front of the purse.
Candies (Make 3)
The candies in the photo look like wrapped sweets with a round center and two twisted ends. Make three in dusty rose tones, each with small white wrappers on both sides. Keep them small and tidy so they read clearly.
Candy Center (Dusty Rose or Deep Rose)
- R1: 6 sc in MR (6)
- R2: inc in each st (12)
- R3: sc around (12)
- R4: (sc, dec) x4 (8)
Stuff lightly, close, and fasten off. Leave tails to sew wrappers.
Wrapper Ends (Make 6, Cream/White)
- Ch 6.
- Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook and across (5), ch 1 turn.
- Row 2: sc across (5), fasten off.
Pinch each wrapper piece in the middle to create a “twist” look. Sew one wrapper to each side of the candy center. Add a few tight stitches at the pinch point so the wrapper holds the twisted shape.
Lace Blanket (Cream)
The blanket is a small lacy square with a decorative edge, like the folded piece shown. Use a smaller hook if you want crisp stitch definition. Keep the size modest so it fits the scene without covering the accessories.
Lace Square
- Ch 28.
- Row 1: dc in 4th ch from hook, dc across (26), ch 3 turn.
- Row 2: dc across (26), ch 3 turn.
- Row 3: (dc 2, ch 1, skip 1) repeat across, ending dc 2, ch 3 turn.
- Row 4: dc across, working dc into ch-1 spaces and sts, ch 3 turn.
- Row 5: (dc 3, ch 1, skip 1) repeat across, ch 3 turn.
- Row 6: dc across, ch 1, do not turn; begin border.
Border and Scallops
Work a simple border around all edges. Aim for a gentle scallop rather than a thick ruffle. The photo shows a lace look with a soft scalloped edge.
- Border Round: sc evenly around, placing (sc, ch 2, sc) in each corner. Join with sl st.
- Scallop Round: *skip 1, 5 dc in next st, skip 1, sc in next* repeat around. At corners, place a scallop in the corner ch-2 space.
Fasten off and weave in ends. Fold the blanket into a neat rectangle for styling, matching the photo’s folded placement.
Pig Companion
The pig is small and stands beside the bunny. It has a round head, a short snout, small ears, and a striped shirt with gray pants. The pig also wears a tiny hat with a band, echoing the main doll’s outfit styling.
Pig Head (Light Pink)
- R1: 6 sc in MR (6)
- R2: inc in each st (12)
- R3: (sc, inc) x6 (18)
- R4: (2 sc, inc) x6 (24)
- R5: (3 sc, inc) x6 (30)
- R6–R10: sc around (30)
Place 6–8 mm eyes between R8 and R9, about 6 stitches apart. Begin stuffing firmly. The face should remain smooth and round. Add extra stuffing toward the forehead so the head does not look flat when the hat sits on top.
- R11: (3 sc, dec) x6 (24)
- R12: (2 sc, dec) x6 (18)
- R13: (sc, dec) x6 (12)
- R14: dec x6 (6)
Fasten off and close. Set aside.
Snout (Light Pink)
- R1: 6 sc in MR (6)
- R2: (sc, inc) x3 (9)
- R3: sc around (9)
Stuff lightly and sew centered low on the face. Embroider two small nostrils with darker pink thread. Add a tiny mouth stitch under the snout if desired, keeping it subtle.
Pig Ears (Make 2, Light Pink)
- R1: 4 sc in MR (4)
- R2: (sc, inc) x2 (6)
- R3: sc around (6)
- R4: (2 sc, inc) x2 (8)
Flatten and sew to the top sides of the head. Keep them small and slightly pointed.
Pig Body (Striped Shirt then Pants)
Work from the neck down. Start with darker rose for the top stripe, then blush stripe, then return to darker rose, then change to gray for pants. Keep color changes clean by carrying yarn inside the work.
- R1: With darker rose, 6 sc in MR (6)
- R2: inc in each st (12)
- R3: (sc, inc) x6 (18)
- R4: (2 sc, inc) x6 (24)
- R5: sc around (24)
Change to blush for one stripe round, then back to darker rose. The shirt in the photo reads as two-tone stripes, so keep the bands simple and horizontal.
- R6: With blush, sc around (24)
- R7: With darker rose, sc around (24)
- R8: With blush, sc around (24)
- R9: With darker rose, sc around (24)
Change to gray for the pants. The pants cover most of the lower body and look like a fitted romper. Stuff lightly as you go so the pig stands.
- R10–R13: With gray, sc around (24)
- R14: (2 sc, dec) x6 (18)
- R15: sc around (18)
- R16: (sc, dec) x6 (12)
Create two legs by splitting the stitches. If you prefer simpler construction, you can close the body and attach separate legs, but splitting gives a clean pants look.
- Leg 1: sc 6 around for 6 rounds, stuff lightly, (sc, dec) x2 (4), sc 1 round, fasten off.
- Leg 2: join yarn to remaining 6 sts, repeat as Leg 1.
Fasten off, weave in ends. Sew head to body securely.
Pig Arms (Make 2, Light Pink)
- R1: 6 sc in MR (6)
- R2–R6: sc around (6)
Stuff lightly, flatten opening, sew to sides at the shirt area.
Pig Hat (Beige with Rose Band)
The hat is a small rounded cap with a band. It should sit centered on the pig head. Add a thin rose stripe to echo the outfit colors.
- R1: With beige, 6 sc in MR (6)
- R2: inc in each st (12)
- R3: (sc, inc) x6 (18)
- R4: (2 sc, inc) x6 (24)
- R5: sc around (24)
- R6: sc around in BLO (24)
- R7: With rose, sc around (24)
- R8: With beige, sc around (24)
Fasten off and sew lightly to the pig head so it stays in place.
Assembly: Bunny
Attach Head to Body
Pin the head to the body, centered. The neck should be secure, with no wobble. Use strong thread and stitch through multiple rounds. Go around the seam twice. Shape the head slightly forward so the face looks sweet and upright.
Attach Ears
Place ears low on the head sides, starting slightly behind the eye line. The hat brim will cover the ear tops, so keep the ear bases close to the head. Sew along the flattened base, then add one extra anchoring stitch higher up.
Attach Arms and Legs
Pin legs to the lower body front so the bunny stands and the skirt falls evenly. Sew firmly. Pin arms just below the head seam, angled slightly forward. Stitch securely, but keep the arms soft so they rest naturally.
Attach Tail
Sew the small rose tail to the back of the body, low enough to peek under the dress. Use strong stitches and keep it centered.
Dressing and Styling Order
- Put the dress on first and align the bodice at the upper torso.
- Slide on the jacket and smooth the front edges so it sits open like the photo.
- Place shoes on feet and tack at heel so they do not slip.
- Set the cloche hat low and slightly forward. Arrange ears under the brim.
- Place purse, candies, and lace blanket around the doll for the scene.
Placement Details for a Scene Like the Photo
Set the purse on the left side of the bunny. Place the candies in front, slightly left of center. Fold the lace blanket and place it on the right side. Stand the pig companion close to the bunny’s right side, facing forward. Keep everything low and tidy so the doll remains the focal point.
Final Assembly and Facial Detailing
Embroider the bunny nose with soft pink thread: a small horizontal stitch, then a short vertical line down. Keep it tiny. Add a small mouth split under the nose. If you embroidered eyes, use short satin stitches and keep them symmetrical. Smooth the face with your fingers to even stuffing.
Care Notes
Handle pom-poms gently to prevent fuzzing. Keep the doll away from snaggy surfaces, especially the lace blanket. If displayed, avoid direct sunlight to reduce fading. Check that the hat pom and dress bobbles remain tightly attached, and re-secure with a few stitches if they loosen over time.
Quick Checklist Before You Finish
- Head firmly attached and centered, face looking straight forward.
- Ears placed low and hanging evenly under the hat brim.
- Dress length mid-calf, skirt flare smooth, bobbles secure.
- Jacket cropped and open front lying flat.
- Shoes snug with bows centered on toes.
- Purse handle secure and bow centered.
- Pig companion assembled with hat sitting neatly.
- Candies and lace blanket finished and scaled correctly.
Detailed Cleaning and Preservation Guidelines
Spot clean using cool water and a mild soap on a soft cloth. Dab gently on the face, jacket, and dress. Avoid heavy rubbing on bobbles and pom details. Rinse the cloth and dab again to remove soap. Air dry flat on a towel, reshaping the hat brim and smoothing the dress skirt while damp.
For storage, wrap the doll in acid-free tissue and place in a breathable cotton bag. Avoid airtight plastic containers that can trap moisture. Store accessories together in a small pouch so bows and lace edges do not snag. If you plan long display, rotate position occasionally to keep dust even.
