Color Placement Overview

The set is built around a soft cream body with lavender clothing and floral trim. The main dress has a lavender bodice, a cream overskirt, and a lavender underskirt. The hat is lavender with a cream band and tiny lavender flower cluster. The arm decorations and skirt hem both carry matching lavender sprigs with green stems.

The miniature bunny echoes the same palette but in a simpler form. It wears a lavender dress and a flower-shaped bonnet in lavender with a green top. The teacup and saucer repeat the cream and lavender stripes, and the book is worked in lavender to tie the whole arrangement together.

  • The clothing is made to fit this exact body shape, so keep row counts and tension as consistent as possible.

Main Bunny

Legs Make 2

Both legs are worked from the foot upward in cream. The feet are gently rounded, not oversized. They are narrower than the skirt and long enough to create the standing doll silhouette shown in the image.

Finish stuffing the body firmly. The torso should look compact, upright, and slightly tapered at the waist so the dress sits neatly.

Head

The head is large, round, and softly flattened at the lower face. The muzzle is subtle, not protruding. Work in cream and keep tension very even for a smooth finish.

  1. Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR. (6)
  2. Rnd 2: inc around. (12)

  2. Rnd 21: sc 6, dec x6, sc 12. (42)

  2. Rnd 24: sc 3, dec x6. (24)
  3. Rnd 25: sc 2, dec x6. (18)

Fasten off with a long tail. Sew the head to the body securely. The head should sit centered, slightly tucked downward in front, and not wobble.

Arms Make 2

The arms are slim and gentle, with no pronounced paw shaping. They hang straight downward and are partly covered by the cap sleeves.

  1. Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR. (6)
  2. Rnd 2: inc around. (12)
  3. Rnd 3 to 5: sc around. (12)
  4. Rnd 6: dec, sc 10. (11)
  5. Rnd 7 to 18: sc around. (11)

Stuff only the lower half. Flatten the top and sew closed. Leave a long tail for attaching.

Ears Make 2

The ears are long, soft, and lightly stuffed or unstuffed. They hang from the sides of the head and extend to about the upper bodice area, just like the image.

  1. Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR. (6)
  2. Rnd 2: sc around. (6)

  8. Rnd 12 to 24: sc around. (15)
  9. Rnd 25: sc 3, dec x3, sc 6. (12)
  10. Rnd 26 to 30: sc around. (12)

📌Thank you for reading the article

Flatten each ear and close with 6 sc through both sides, or sew flat. Do not stuff heavily. A tiny bit of stuffing near the base is enough if you want more structure.

Face Embroidery

Use blush pink or nude yarn. Embroider a tiny triangular nose centered between the eyes, about two rounds lower. Add a short vertical line beneath it and a very small split mouth. Keep it delicate. The expression in the image is minimal and soft, not cartoonish.

Main Dress

Bodice

The dress bodice is lavender, fitted, and short, with a scalloped edge at the waist. It has a separate cream collar and three tiny front buttons. Work from the top down.

  1. Ch 30, join carefully without twisting.
  2. Rnd 1: sc around. (30)
  3. Rnd 2: sc around. (30)
  4. Rnd 3: sc 6, inc, sc 7, inc, sc 6, inc, sc 7, inc. (34)
  5. Rnd 4: sc around. (34)
  6. Rnd 5: sc 7, inc, sc 8, inc, sc 7, inc, sc 8, inc. (38)

Test the fit around the upper body. The bodice should sit snugly but not stretch too hard.

  1. Rnd 6 to 9: sc around. (38)
  2. Rnd 10: in flo, sc around. (38)
  3. Rnd 11: sc around. (38)
  4. Rnd 12: sc around. (38)

Waist Scallops

Join at the lower edge of the bodice. Create the rounded trim seen in the image.

  1. Scallop round: sl st in first st, ch 1, skip 1 st, 5 dc in next st, skip 1 st, sl st in next st. Rep around.

This creates the decorative rounded shells that sit just above the skirt.

Cap Sleeves Make 2

The sleeves are small and neat. They cover only the top of each shoulder and upper arm.

  1. Join lavender yarn at arm opening.
  2. Rnd 1: sc evenly around arm opening, about 14 to 16 sc.
  3. Rnd 2: sc around.
  4. Rnd 3: sl st around loosely.

Collar Make 2 Sections

The collar is cream and rounded into two petals that meet at center front.

  1. With cream, ch 8.
  2. Row 1: sc in second ch from hook and across. (7)
  3. Row 2: ch 1, turn, dec, sc 3, dec. (5)
  4. Row 3: ch 1, turn, sc across. (5)
  5. Row 4: ch 1, turn, dec, sc, dec. (3)
  6. Row 5: ch 1, turn, sc across. (3)

Make two identical pieces and sew at the neckline so the rounded points meet at the center front.

Front Buttons

Use tiny lavender knots, beads, or embroidered French knots to form three buttons down the center front of the bodice. Space them evenly. In the image they are decorative and very small, so avoid anything bulky.

Skirt Base

The dress has a two-layer appearance. Begin with the lavender underskirt, then add the cream overskirt so it sits higher and shorter.

  1. Join lavender yarn into the flo left from bodice rnd 10.
  2. Rnd 1: inc in every 3rd st around. (About 50)
  3. Rnd 2: hdc around. (50)
  4. Rnd 3: hdc around. (50)
  5. Rnd 4: hdc, inc around every 5th st. (About 60)
  6. Rnd 5 to 8: hdc around. (60)

The lower lavender skirt should flare softly rather than collapse. Keep stitches even and do not overstuff the body underneath the skirt.

Lavender Skirt Floral Hem

The hem is decorated with stitched lavender stems and tiny flower buds. Make the base edge first, then embroider.

  1. Final hem round: sc around in lavender.

📌Thank you for reading the article

Using sage green yarn, embroider a winding vine across the lower front and sides of the skirt. Add short angled side stems every few stitches. With darker lavender, stitch tiny puff-like buds in clustered groups of two to four buds per stem. Repeat the same style seen in the photo, concentrating the floral line along the front half of the hem.

Cream Overskirt

The overskirt sits above the lavender layer and is shorter, wider, and lightly pleated by stitch increases. It creates the café-apron look seen from the front.

  1. Join cream yarn to a round about 2 to 3 rows below the bodice scallops.
  2. Rnd 1: in exposed front loops or by surface join, work 44 sc evenly around.
  3. Rnd 2: hdc around. (44)
  4. Rnd 3: hdc, inc around every 4th st. (About 55)
  5. Rnd 4 to 6: hdc around. (55)
  6. Rnd 7: sc around.

The cream overskirt should end clearly above the floral lavender hem so both layers remain visible from the front.

Arm Cuffs and Sleeve Sprigs

The bunny has cream sleeves with soft ruffled cuffs and lavender sprigs applied near the outer side of each arm.

Cuffs

  1. With cream, ch long enough to fit around wrist.
  2. Row 1: sc across.
  3. Row 2: 2 dc in each st across for a soft ruffle.

Sew around each wrist. Add a fine sage green line above the cuff with a few tiny whipstitches if desired to match the image.

Arm Sprigs Make 2

  1. With sage green, ch 8.
  2. Sl st back along chain, making one side branch in two places with ch 2, sl st back.
  3. With darker lavender, make 3 or 4 tiny popcorn or French-knot style buds and sew onto branch tips.

Sew one sprig to the outer side of each sleeve, just above the cuff.

Shoes Make 2

The shoes are classic Mary Jane style in lavender and cream. They have a rounded toe, cream sole, and a small top strap opening.

  1. With cream, ch 7.
  2. Rnd 1: sc in second ch from hook, sc 4, 3 sc in last ch, working on opposite side sc 4, 2 sc in last. (14)
  3. Rnd 2: inc, sc 4, inc x3, sc 4, inc x2. (20)
  4. Rnd 3: sc around in blo. (20)
  5. Change to lavender.
  6. Rnd 4: sc around. (20)
  7. Rnd 5: sc 5, dec x5, sc 5. (15)
  8. Rnd 6: sc around. (15)

Flatten lightly to shape the toe. Do not overstuff. Sew or slip the shoe onto the foot and tack in place.

For the strap, join yarn at one side opening, ch 4 or 5 across the instep, attach on the other side, then work back with sc. The opening on top should remain visible, matching the photo.

Hat

The hat is a soft lavender newsboy cap with a short curved brim, a cream horizontal band, and a small lavender flower cluster on one side. It sits low on the forehead and slightly covers the top of the ears.

Hat Crown

  1. With lavender, 6 sc in MR. (6)
  2. Rnd 2: inc around. (12)
  3. Rnd 3: sc, inc x6. (18)
  4. Rnd 4: sc 2, inc x6. (24)
  5. Rnd 5: sc 3, inc x6. (30)
  6. Rnd 6: sc 4, inc x6. (36)
  7. Rnd 7: sc 5, inc x6. (42)
  8. Rnd 8: sc 6, inc x6. (48)
  9. Rnd 9: sc 7, inc x6. (54)
  10. Rnd 10 to 15: sc around. (54)

Try it on the head. The hat should fit low and wide, not tight.

Hat Band

  1. Change to cream for one round of sc around. (54)
  2. Change back to lavender and work 2 more rounds of sc. (54)

Brim

Work in rows across the front half only to create the visor shape.

  1. Mark 20 front stitches.
  2. Row 1: join lavender at first marked stitch, sc across 20. (20)
  3. Row 2: ch 1, turn, dec, sc 16, dec. (18)
  4. Row 3: ch 1, turn, sc across. (18)
  5. Row 4: ch 1, turn, dec, sc 14, dec. (16)
  6. Row 5: ch 1, turn, sc across. (16)

Fasten off. Lightly steam or shape the brim with your fingers. Sew a few hidden tack stitches under the hat front so the brim curves gently downward like the image.

Hat Flower Cluster

Make three tiny bobble flowers in darker lavender.

  1. For each bud: 5 sc in MR, sl st to close, or make a tiny popcorn nub.
  2. With sage green, stitch two tiny leaves.

Sew the cluster on the right front side of the hat just above the brim band.

Mini Bunny

The miniature bunny is styled as a companion doll. It has the same cream body and lavender dress, plus a flower bonnet that resembles a lavender blossom.

Mini Head

  1. Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR. (6)
  2. Rnd 2: inc around. (12)
  3. Rnd 3: sc, inc x6. (18)
  4. Rnd 4: sc 2, inc x6. (24)
  5. Rnd 5 to 9: sc around. (24)
  6. Insert eyes between rnds 6 and 7.
  7. Rnd 10: sc 2, dec x6. (18)
  8. Rnd 11: sc, dec x6. (12)

Stuff firmly and close.

Mini Body

  1. Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR. (6)
  2. Rnd 2: inc around. (12)
  3. Rnd 3: sc, inc x6. (18)
  4. Rnd 4 to 7: sc around. (18)
  5. Change to lavender.
  6. Rnd 8: in flo, hdc around. (18)
  7. Rnd 9: hdc, inc around every 3rd st. (24)
  8. Rnd 10 to 11: hdc around. (24)

Stuff the body lightly and close if working from base upward, or sew to head if worked separately.

Mini Arms Make 2

  1. 6 sc in MR, then work 5 more rounds even. Keep tiny and lightly stuffed.

Mini Legs Make 2

  1. 6 sc in MR, increase to 8 or 10, then work upward for 4 to 5 rounds.

Mini Ears Make 2

  1. 6 sc in MR, increase to 8, then work 7 to 8 rounds even.

Attach all parts neatly. The mini bunny should be simple, slightly chubby, and sweet.

Mini Flower Bonnet

This bonnet is the most distinctive detail. It looks like overlapping petals resting over the head.

  1. With lavender, make a small cap that fits the mini head: start with 6 sc in MR and increase evenly to about 24 stitches.
  2. Work 2 to 3 rounds even.
  3. For petals, attach yarn and repeat around: ch 4, dc 3 in same base, ch 4, sl st in next st.
  4. Adjust petal size so they curve downward around the face.

At the top center, use sage green to crochet a small star cap.

  1. Ch 5, sl st to ring.
  2. Into ring work 5 points: ch 3, sl st in second ch from hook, sl st in next ch, sl st back to ring.

Sew this green top to the bonnet center.

Lavender Bouquet

The bouquet is made from several short lavender stems tied together. It rests on the table in front of the main bunny.

Lavender Stems Make 5 to 7

  1. With sage green, ch 10.
  2. Sl st back along chain for the stem.
  3. At the top, ch 5.
  4. Working back down the chain, make tiny buds by alternating sl st and puff or popcorn stitches in lavender attached to the side of the chain.

Make each stem slightly different. Group the stems together and tie with cream yarn near the bottom. Trim evenly.

Mini Cup

The cup has a rounded bowl, cream outer rim, lavender accent band, and two tiny side handles. It sits beside the bunny like a decorative teacup.

Cup Base and Wall

  1. With cream, 6 sc in MR. (6)
  2. Rnd 2: inc around. (12)
  3. Rnd 3: sc, inc x6. (18)
  4. Rnd 4: sc 2, inc x6. (24)
  5. Rnd 5: blo sc around. (24)
  6. Rnd 6: sc around. (24)
  7. Rnd 7: change to lavender, sc around. (24)
  8. Rnd 8: change to cream, sc around. (24)
  9. Rnd 9: sc around. (24)

Do not stuff. Shape the rim neatly.

Handles Make 2

  1. Ch 8 with cream.
  2. Sl st back along chain.

Sew one on each side.

Saucer

  1. With cream, 6 sc in MR. (6)
  2. Rnd 2: inc around. (12)
  3. Rnd 3: sc, inc x6. (18)
  4. Rnd 4: sc 2, inc x6. (24)
  5. Rnd 5: sc 3, inc x6. (30)
  6. Rnd 6: in flo, 2 dc in each stitch around for a shallow ruffle.

If you want the saucer to sit flatter, insert a thin circle of plastic canvas inside a back piece and sew closed, but this is optional.

Mini Book

The tiny book is a lavender rectangle with a folded spine.

  1. With lavender, ch 11.
  2. Row 1 to 8: sc across. (10)

Make two identical rectangles. Cut a small insert from cardstock slightly smaller than the crochet pieces. Place the insert inside, fold gently at the center, and whipstitch around three sides. Add a few surface lines near the fold to suggest the spine. A tiny button knot on the front flap can be added if desired.

Final Assembly and Facial Detailing

Sew the ears to the head slightly behind the eye line so they fall straight downward. Attach the arms just below the neckline and angle them gently toward the body. Put on the dress before fixing the arms completely if needed for easier fitting.

Add the embroidered nose in a soft pink-beige tone and keep the mouth very short. The face should stay minimal. Place the hat low across the forehead, then secure it with a few hidden stitches near the sides so it does not shift.

Arrange the floral trims carefully. The skirt vine should stay mostly on the front half. The sleeve sprigs should point slightly outward. These little placements make the finished doll look much closer to the photographed version.

Care Notes

  • Store away from direct sunlight to keep lavender and cream shades soft and even.
  • Display on a shelf or in a nursery corner rather than in heavy daily play if you want the accessories to remain neat.
  • If giving to a child, embroider eyes instead of using safety eyes.

Quick Checklist Before You Finish

  • Head centered and firmly attached
  • Ears even in length and position
  • Dress layers visible in the correct order
  • Collar centered with three tiny front buttons
  • Hat brim curved and flower cluster attached
  • Mary Jane openings visible on both shoes
  • Mini bunny, cup, saucer, bouquet, and book all completed

Detailed Cleaning and Preservation Guidelines

Spot clean gently with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid soaking pieces that include internal support, glued inserts, or attached accessories. Press with a towel and reshape while damp. Let every item dry fully in open air on a flat surface.

For long-term preservation, keep the set in a dust-free cabinet or a breathable storage box lined with tissue. Do not hang the main bunny by the ears or hat. Keeping the accessories together in a small fabric pouch will help them stay clean and easy to find.
