General Notes

  • Work in continuous rounds unless a row is marked otherwise.
  • Use a tight tension so stuffing does not show.
  • The bunny has a rounded head, slim neck, petite torso, and short sturdy legs.
  • The ears are long, soft, and slightly flattened.
  • The dress is built to look puffed at the sleeves and gently flared at the skirt.
  • The hat sits low on the forehead and is heavily decorated with layered blossoms.
  • Stuff firmly but do not overfill. The face should stay smooth, not stretched.

Bunny Head

Using beige yarn, make the head first. It should be almost perfectly round, with a slightly fuller lower face. The eye line sits a little below center, giving the bunny a gentle childlike expression.

  1. Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR. (6)
  2. Rnd 2: inc around. (12)
  3. Rnd 3: 1 sc, inc around. (18)
  4. Rnd 4: 2 sc, inc around. (24)
  5. Rnd 5: 3 sc, inc around. (30)
  6. Rnd 6: 4 sc, inc around. (36)
  7. Rnd 7: 5 sc, inc around. (42)
  8. Rnd 8: 6 sc, inc around. (48)
  9. Rnd 9: 7 sc, inc around. (54)
  10. Rnd 10-18: sc around. (54)

Insert 8 mm safety eyes between Rnds 12 and 13 with about 10 stitches between them. The eyes in the image are glossy black, evenly spaced, and placed straight across for a calm expression.

  1. Rnd 19: 7 sc, dec around. (48)
  2. Rnd 20: sc around. (48)
  3. Rnd 21: 6 sc, dec around. (42)
  4. Rnd 22: 5 sc, dec around. (36)
  5. Rnd 23: 4 sc, dec around. (30)

Begin stuffing firmly. Shape the cheeks with your fingers as you stuff. The lower face in the image is softly rounded rather than pointed, so keep the muzzle area full.

  1. Rnd 24: 3 sc, dec around. (24)
  2. Rnd 25: 2 sc, dec around. (18)
  3. Rnd 26: 1 sc, dec around. (12)

Do not close fully if you prefer sewing the head onto a neck opening later. Leave a long tail for sewing.

Face Shaping

With matching beige yarn, make a small horizontal nose bridge by stitching over 2 stitches centered between the eyes, about 3 rounds below the eye line. Then use pale pink yarn to embroider a tiny triangular nose and a short vertical line below it.

The mouth should be minimal. One tiny stitch to each side under the nose is enough. Do not make a wide smile. The photographed bunny has a neat, understated face.

Bunny Ears

Make 2 in beige. The ears are long, soft, and lightly stuffed only at the base. They hang straight down beside the face and end around shoulder level.

  1. Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR. (6)
  2. Rnd 2: inc around. (12)
  3. Rnd 3-5: sc around. (12)
  4. Rnd 6: 4 sc, inc, 5 sc, inc, 1 sc. (14)
  5. Rnd 7-16: sc around. (14)
  6. Rnd 17: 5 sc, dec, 5 sc, dec. (12)
  7. Rnd 18-24: sc around. (12)

Flatten the top opening and sew closed. Add a tiny bit of stuffing to the lower third only. Sew each ear to the head under the hat line, slightly behind the eyes, so they fall vertically along the cheeks.

Bunny Legs

Make 2 in beige. The legs are straight, short, and fairly even in thickness. They are sturdy enough to support the body visually, though the doll may still need a stand for display.

  1. Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR. (6)
  2. Rnd 2: inc around. (12)
  3. Rnd 3: 1 sc, inc around. (18)
  4. Rnd 4-6: sc around. (18)
  5. Rnd 7: 4 sc, dec, 8 sc, dec, 2 sc. (16)
  6. Rnd 8-16: sc around. (16)

Stuff firmly. Fasten off first leg. Make second leg but do not fasten off.

Bunny Body

The body is compact with a soft rounded belly, but the dress covers most of it. Join the legs and build the torso upward. Keep the neck narrower than the chest.

  1. Join legs with 4 ch.
  2. Rnd 1: sc around first leg, sc across chain, sc around second leg, sc across other side of chain. (40)
  3. Rnd 2-4: sc around. (40)
  4. Rnd 5: 8 sc, dec, 18 sc, dec, 10 sc. (38)
  5. Rnd 6: sc around. (38)
  6. Rnd 7: 7 sc, dec around. (34)
  7. Rnd 8: sc around. (34)
  8. Rnd 9: 15 sc, dec, 15 sc, dec. (32)
  9. Rnd 10: sc around. (32)
  10. Rnd 11: 6 sc, dec around. (28)
  11. Rnd 12-13: sc around. (28)
  12. Rnd 14: 5 sc, dec around. (24)
  13. Rnd 15-16: sc around. (24)
  14. Rnd 17: 2 sc, dec around. (18)
  15. Rnd 18-19: sc around. (18)

Stuff the body well, especially the lower torso. Sew the head to the neck opening. Make sure the face points straight forward and the chin sits low enough to leave room for the dress neckline.

Bunny Arms

Make 2 in beige. The arms are slim and short, ending just above the skirt line. They angle slightly inward when sewn to the shoulders.

  1. Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR. (6)
  2. Rnd 2: inc around. (12)
  3. Rnd 3-4: sc around. (12)
  4. Rnd 5: 4 sc, dec, 4 sc, dec. (10)
  5. Rnd 6-14: sc around. (10)

Stuff the lower half only. Flatten the top and sew closed. Stitch arms to the body at shoulder level, angled slightly downward.

Dress Bodice

Using dusty rose pink, work from the top downward around the upper body. The bodice in the image is broad and square across the chest, with a neat horizontal texture.

  1. Join yarn at center back under one arm.
  2. Rnd 1: sc evenly around upper torso. Aim for 24 stitches. (24)
  3. Rnd 2-4: hdc around. (24)
  4. Rnd 5: in BLO, hdc around. (24)

This creates a clear break between bodice and skirt. The neckline should sit slightly off the shoulders, leaving the beige neck and top chest visible.

Puff Sleeves

The sleeves are small, rounded, and full. Make 2 directly around the arm openings, or separately and sew them on.

  1. Attach pink yarn at armhole.
  2. Rnd 1: 12 sc around the arm opening.
  3. Rnd 2: 1 sc, inc around. (18)
  4. Rnd 3: sc around. (18)
  5. Rnd 4: dec around loosely. (9)

Fasten off and gently shape the sleeve cap so it rounds outward over the shoulder. Repeat on the other side.

Dress Skirt

Work into the front loops left from the bodice. The skirt should flare into a bell shape, ending above the knees. Its curve is soft rather than stiff, with rows that widen gradually.

  1. Rnd 1: In FLO of bodice round, 1 hdc, inc around. (36)
  2. Rnd 2: hdc around. (36)
  3. Rnd 3: 5 hdc, inc around. (42)
  4. Rnd 4: hdc around. (42)
  5. Rnd 5: 6 hdc, inc around. (48)
  6. Rnd 6: hdc around. (48)
  7. Rnd 7: 7 hdc, inc around. (54)
  8. Rnd 8: hdc around. (54)

Fasten off. Lightly steam-block if needed so the skirt curves evenly. The lower edge will later be heavily decorated with flowers, so keep the hem tidy and level.

Waist Flower Band

The dress has a row of medium blossoms centered at the waist. Make 5 flowers total: 2 pale pink, 2 deep pink, and 1 medium pink. Add tiny green leaves between some flowers.

Five-Petal Flower

  1. With flower color, make MR.
  2. Into ring repeat 5 times: ch 2, 2 dc, 1 tr, 2 dc, ch 2, sl st into ring.
  3. Pull ring tight and fasten off.

Layer the petals with your fingers so they cup slightly. Sew the five flowers across the waistline, overlapping just a little. Add 1 or 2 leaf stitches under selected flowers using green yarn.

Hem Flower Garland

The bottom of the dress is crowded with blossoms in deep pink, pale pink, and white. Make about 10 to 12 small flowers in mixed shades. Use a combination of fuller flowers and slightly flatter ones.

Small Blossom

  1. Rnd 1: 5 sc in MR.
  2. Rnd 2: In each stitch work: ch 2, 2 dc, ch 2, sl st.

Ruffled Blossom

  1. Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR.
  2. Rnd 2: In each stitch work: ch 1, 1 hdc, 2 dc, 1 hdc, ch 1, sl st.

Sew these around the lower hem in a dense garland. Alternate shades and cluster some blossoms together. The image shows nearly continuous floral coverage across the front half of the skirt.

Bunny Shoes

Make 2 in pink. The shoes are simple Mary Jane style slippers with a strap opening on top and flower trim at the outer side.

  1. Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR. (6)
  2. Rnd 2: inc around. (12)
  3. Rnd 3: 1 sc, inc around. (18)
  4. Rnd 4: BLO sc around. (18)
  5. Rnd 5: 5 sc, 4 dec, 5 sc. (14)
  6. Rnd 6: sc around. (14)

For the strap, attach yarn at one side opening, ch 4, skip across top, and join on the opposite side. Sew shoe to foot if desired. Add a tiny flower to the outer side of each shoe.

Flower Hat

The hat is essential to the design. It is a rounded cap with a short downward brim. It sits low over the forehead and is fully crowned with blossoms across the top front and sides.

  1. Using pink, Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR. (6)
  2. Rnd 2: inc around. (12)
  3. Rnd 3: 1 sc, inc around. (18)
  4. Rnd 4: 2 sc, inc around. (24)
  5. Rnd 5: 3 sc, inc around. (30)
  6. Rnd 6: 4 sc, inc around. (36)
  7. Rnd 7: 5 sc, inc around. (42)
  8. Rnd 8-11: sc around. (42)
  9. Rnd 12: BLO sc around. (42)
  10. Rnd 13: 6 sc, inc around. (48)
  11. Rnd 14: 7 sc, inc around. (54)
  12. Rnd 15: sc around. (54)
  13. Rnd 16: sl st around loosely.

Make 9 to 11 blossoms in mixed pinks and white. Use mostly five-petal flowers, with a few fuller ruffled blossoms. Sew them densely across the top and front edge of the hat. Let some petals overlap the brim slightly.

Small Handbag

This accessory is a tiny pink basket-style handbag with a short handle and flower cluster on one side. It should stand upright next to the bunny.

  1. With pink, ch 7.
  2. Rnd 1: Starting in second ch from hook, 5 sc, 3 sc in last ch, 4 sc along other side, 2 sc in first ch. (14)
  3. Rnd 2: inc, 4 sc, 3 inc, 4 sc, 2 inc. (20)
  4. Rnd 3: BLO sc around. (20)
  5. Rnd 4-10: sc around. (20)

Fasten off. For the handle, attach yarn to one side near the top, ch 12, and join to the opposite side. Make 2 small blossoms and 1 leaf, then sew them to the front side of the bag.

Parfait Glass

This piece has a white foot, narrow stem, flared bowl, layered cream filling, and a red cherry on top. It is decorative and should match the scale of the bunny set.

  1. With white, Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR. (6)
  2. Rnd 2: inc around. (12)
  3. Rnd 3: BLO sc around. (12)
  4. Rnd 4: 4 dec, 4 sc. (8)
  5. Rnd 5-6: sc around. (8)
  6. Rnd 7: inc around. (16)
  7. Rnd 8: 1 sc, inc around. (24)
  8. Rnd 9-10: sc around. (24)

Stuff lightly and shape the bowl. Add horizontal surface rows in cream, tan, and white for parfait layers. Make a tiny red ball for the cherry: 6 sc in MR, then fasten off. Add a short white swirl under the cherry if desired.

Flower Bouquet

Make 4 to 5 blossoms in mixed pink and white. Use the same small flower patterns from the dress hem. Add green stems by chaining 8 to 10 for each flower or wrapping floral tape around fine wire.

Gather the stems together and wrap with green yarn. The bouquet in the image is loose and small, not tightly bound. Let the flower heads face outward in a rounded cluster.

Teddy Bear Head

Using honey brown yarn, make a small rounded bear with a cream muzzle. The bear has tiny black eyes and a stitched dark nose.

  1. Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR. (6)
  2. Rnd 2: inc around. (12)
  3. Rnd 3: 1 sc, inc around. (18)
  4. Rnd 4: 2 sc, inc around. (24)
  5. Rnd 5-8: sc around. (24)
  6. Rnd 9: 2 sc, dec around. (18)
  7. Rnd 10: 1 sc, dec around. (12)

Insert 5 mm eyes between Rnds 6 and 7. Stuff and close. For the muzzle, with cream, make 6 sc in MR, then 6 inc. Sew low on the face. Embroider a dark brown nose and short mouth.

Teddy Ears

  • Make 2: 6 sc in MR, then 1 sc, inc around to 9.
  • Flatten and sew to head.

Teddy Body, Arms, and Legs

The teddy body is very small and slightly pear-shaped. Its arms are short and its legs are stubby so the skirt sits low and rounded.

Body

  1. Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR. (6)
  2. Rnd 2: inc around. (12)
  3. Rnd 3: 1 sc, inc around. (18)
  4. Rnd 4-6: sc around. (18)
  5. Rnd 7: 1 sc, dec around. (12)
  6. Rnd 8-9: sc around. (12)

Arms

  • Make 2: 6 sc in MR, Rnds 2-5 sc around.

Legs

  • Make 2: 6 sc in MR, Rnd 2 inc around to 12, Rnds 3-4 sc around.

Assemble the teddy neatly. Sew head to body, arms at the sides, and legs underneath. Keep proportions cute and compact.

Teddy Outfit

The teddy wears a pale pink top, a bright pink skirt, and a small pink hat decorated with blossoms.

Top

Using pale pink, work 12 to 14 hdc around the upper body for 3 rounds. Keep it snug.

Skirt

Attach bright pink to the lower edge of the top. Work 1 hdc, inc around for one round, then 1 more round even. This gives the teddy a flared little skirt.

Teddy Hat

  1. With pink, 6 sc in MR.
  2. Rnd 2: inc around. (12)
  3. Rnd 3: 1 sc, inc around. (18)
  4. Rnd 4-5: sc around. (18)
  5. Rnd 6: BLO sc around.
  6. Rnd 7: 2 sc, inc around. (24)

Add 2 small flowers to the hat, one deep pink and one white, and place it at a slight angle just like the image.

Final Assembly and Facial Detailing

  • Sew the bunny head firmly to the body before attaching the hat.
  • Place ears under the hat edge so they fall close to the cheeks.
  • Attach arms so the hands sit near the waist flowers.
  • Center the facial features carefully. Small changes affect the expression a lot.
  • Add the dress flowers last so you can balance the front view evenly.

Care Notes

  • Display pieces are best kept out of strong direct sunlight.
  • Do not machine wash if the set includes safety eyes, shaped accessories, or wire stems.
  • Store flat or upright so the hat flowers do not get crushed.

Quick Checklist Before You Finish

  • Head centered and facing forward
  • Eyes level and evenly spaced
  • Hat brim even and sitting low
  • Waist flowers centered
  • Hem flowers balanced across the front
  • Shoes aligned straight on the feet
  • Teddy, bag, parfait, and bouquet scaled to match the bunny

Detailed Cleaning and Preservation Guidelines

  • Dust gently with a soft dry brush.
  • For spots, use a damp cloth with mild soap and blot carefully.
  • Do not soak flower-heavy sections because layered petals can lose shape.
  • Reshape while slightly damp and let air dry fully.
  • Store in a breathable box with tissue support around the hat and skirt.
