Please note: I strive for accuracy in every pattern, but occasional errors can happen. Thank you for understanding and for enjoying my designs.
Pattern Overview
This pattern is written in US crochet terms. The project is built as a soft round diorama. The large green base is worked first, then the lavender bakery house is crocheted as a firm rounded dome and sewn onto the back half of the base. All small garden pieces are made separately and attached after placement.
The finished piece is designed to look full, cozy, and three-dimensional, just like a miniature blueberry bakery garden. Keep your stitches tight, stuff firmly, and pin every piece in place before sewing. The visual balance comes from the large bakery in the back, the bakery counter in front, and the blueberry bushes around the edge.
Finished Size
- Garden base: about 16 in / 40.5 cm wide and 3 in / 7.5 cm thick.

For a sturdier fern, crochet around thin floral wire. Sew ferns behind the house, behind mushroom tables, and beside blueberry bushes. Keep them taller than the flowerpots but lower than the roof.
19. Bunting Flags
The bunting stretches behind the counter and across the garden, with small blue, yellow, cream, and white triangular flags.

Sew one post to each back-side edge of the base. Tie or sew the bunting between them, letting the cord dip gently behind the bakery scene.
20. Blueberry Bakery Sign
The sign sits at the front right and reads BLUEBERRY BAKERY. Use tan yarn for the sign panel and brown yarn for the border and post.
Sign Panel

- FO and sew to a pot, bush, or window side.
23. Placement Guide
Before sewing everything permanently, place all pieces on the garden base. The bakery house belongs at the back center. The door should face forward. The whipped roof should sit straight, with the berry cluster on the front-right side.
- Place the stone path from the door to the front edge.
- Place the bakery counter on the front-left side of the path.
- Place the bear behind or beside the counter, facing forward.
- Place the bunny in front of the counter, slightly to the right of the basket.
- Place the blueberry basket at the front center-left.
- Place the chick on the front-right side near the sign.
- Place mushroom tables and cream chairs on both side areas.
- Place flowerpots beside the counter, path, mushroom tables, and sign.
- Place large blueberry clusters around the front edge of the base.
- Place ferns and bushes behind the bakery and along the sides.
- Place bunting posts on the back-left and back-right sides.
24. Sewing Order
Sewing order matters because this project has many small elements. Start with the largest pieces and finish with the smallest flowers and berries.
- Sew the lavender bakery house firmly to the back center of the green base.
- Sew the whipped cream roof to the top of the house.
- Sew the door, windows, sills, and roof berry cluster to the house.
- Sew the white stone path from the door outward.
- Sew the counter, basket, sign, mushroom tables, and chairs in place.
- Sew the bear, bunny, and chick to the base.
- Sew blueberry clusters to the front and side edges.
- Sew flowerpots, bushes, ferns, and bunting posts.
- Add final tiny flowers, pastry details, embroidered lettering, and berry stars.
Final Assembly and Facial Detailing
Use black embroidery thread for the bear, bunny, and chick eyes. Keep the eyes small and round so the characters look gentle and handmade. Add a brown bear nose, a pink bunny nose, and an orange chick beak. Secure all thread ends inside the pieces.
Check the angle of each figure before sewing the final stitches. The bear should face the counter, the bunny should face the bakery display, and the chick should face slightly inward toward the sign and path.
Care Notes
Spot clean only with cool water and mild soap. Do not machine wash because the small flowers, pastries, berries, and sign may distort. Gently press with a towel and let the piece air dry fully.
Quick Checklist Before You Finish
- The green base is firm and flat.
- The lavender bakery is centered and stable.
- The whipped cream roof has a visible spiral and scalloped edge.
- The door, windows, and sign are straight.
- The stone path leads clearly from the door to the front.
- The counter has pastries, cupcakes, cookies, and berries.
- The bear, bunny, and chick are securely attached.
- The blueberry clusters frame the front edge.
- The bunting, ferns, flowerpots, and bushes fill the background.
Detailed Cleaning and Preservation Guidelines
Store the finished bakery garden in a dry place away from direct sunlight. Long exposure to sunlight can fade the lavender house, red mushroom caps, and blue berries. If dust collects, use a soft brush and gently lift dust away from the small crochet details.
To preserve the shape, do not stack heavy objects on top of the diorama. If storing long term, place it in a breathable box with tissue paper around the roof, sign, ferns, and bunting posts.
For display, keep the project on a flat shelf or table. The raised garden base is soft, so a level surface will help the house, figures, basket, and mushroom tables stay upright and balanced.
