Pattern Overview
This pattern is written in US crochet terms and is designed as a detailed miniature amigurumi diorama. The finished piece is built in separate sections, then sewn together securely on a rectangular garden mat. The main focus is the tall daisy-covered berry wagon with two teddy bears and many small farm accessories.
The structure uses tight single crochet fabric so the pieces hold their shape. For the wagon box, canopy posts, wheels, and accessories, work firmly and stuff only where instructed. The berries are intentionally made in several sizes so the wagon looks full and natural like the photo.
Finished Size
- Garden base: about 13 in x 9.5 in.
- Berry wagon: about 8 in long, 4 in wide, and 6 in tall including canopy.
- Standing bear: about 3.25 in tall without hat.
- Seated bear: about 3 in tall when seated.
- Large wheels: about 2 in across.
- Daisy flowers: about 0.75 in across.
Materials
- DK weight cotton yarn in tan, medium brown, dark brown, grass green, leaf green, white, golden yellow, red, berry red, raspberry pink, royal blue, navy, black, terracotta, pale blue, gray, cream, and pink.
- 2.25 mm crochet hook for amigurumi pieces.
- 2.75 mm crochet hook for base mat and flat panels.
- Fiberfill stuffing.
- 6 mm black safety eyes or black embroidery thread for bears.
- Small amount of black embroidery thread for mouths, bear noses, bee stripes, and sign lettering.
- Yarn needle, stitch markers, scissors, pins, and removable stitch markers.
- Optional: thin floral wire or pipe cleaners for wagon arches and basket handles.
- Optional: cardboard or plastic canvas for stiffening the wagon floor and sign.
Gauge
Using DK cotton and a 2.25 mm hook, 8 sc and 8 rounds measure about 1 in in tight amigurumi crochet. Gauge is not critical, but tight stitches are important. If stuffing shows through, use a smaller hook.

- Place the scale and watering can to the right side of the wagon.
- Add tools near the pie and garden bed.
- Attach bees and butterflies last so they remain clean and visible.
Final Assembly and Facial Detailing
Use black embroidery thread to refine both bear faces. Add a small oval nose to each muzzle, then stitch a short vertical line and a soft smile. Keep the expressions gentle and friendly. Add one tiny white stitch beside each eye if you want a glossy amigurumi look.
Check that both bears face slightly toward the viewer. The standing bear should look like it is selling berries from the farm stand, while the seated bear should appear to be holding the berry basket. Sew arms carefully so they do not twist.
For the wagon, make sure the daisy-covered roof is centered and the arch posts stand upright. Add extra stitches at the base of each post if needed. The wheels should sit flat against the sides and line up evenly from front to back.
Care Notes
- Spot clean only with a damp cloth and mild soap.
- Do not machine wash if cardboard, wire, or safety eyes are used.
- Let the piece air dry flat after cleaning.
- Keep away from direct sunlight for long periods to prevent yarn fading.
- This is a decorative item, not a toy for children under three years old.
Quick Checklist Before You Finish
- All berries are secured inside the wagon and baskets.
- Both bears are firmly sewn to the base.
- The wagon roof does not lean forward or backward.
- Daisies cover the roof edge and posts evenly.
- The sign lettering is readable from the front.
- Small accessories are attached tightly and placed like the photo.
- Loose yarn tails are woven in and trimmed neatly.
Detailed Cleaning and Preservation Guidelines
To preserve the shape of the wagon, support the base from underneath when moving the finished piece. Avoid lifting it by the roof, arches, flowers, or bears. The small crochet details are secure after sewing, but gentle handling will keep the farm scene neat.
For dust removal, use a soft makeup brush or a cool air blower on low power. Clean between the daisies, berries, and wheels carefully. If a berry or flower becomes flattened, reshape it gently with your fingers and allow it to rest upright.
Store the finished berry farm in a dry display box or on a clean shelf. If storing for a long time, wrap it loosely in acid-free tissue paper. Do not compress the roof or berry pile, because the raised flowers and fruit shapes are part of the design.
