Important Construction Notes
Work amigurumi parts in continuous rounds unless a joined round is specified. Keep the stitches tight so stuffing does not show. The cottage wall should stand straight, so stuff it firmly and insert a plastic canvas tube inside before closing.
The display is built on a flat round grass base. The silo cottage sits slightly behind center. The flower bed is on the left front side, the picnic table is front center, and the cart is on the front right side. This placement creates the same balanced farm scene shown in the image.

Assembly Placement Guide

- Sew the flower bed to the front-left side of the base, then place the farm sign beside it.
- Sew the picnic table in front of the cottage, slightly left of center.
- Sew the adult goat behind the table so the arms reach the mixing bowl.
- Sew the spoon baby goat to the left of the table.
- Sew the cart to the front-right side, then sew the pulling baby goat in front of the cart handle.
- Sew the honey jar, milk can, basket, haystack, grass clump, and gray pot around the right side of the cottage.
- Sew the fence sections along the back left and back right edges of the base.
- Attach bees last so their placement stays light and floating.
Final Assembly and Facial Detailing
Use pins to test the full layout before sewing anything permanently. The cottage should be the tallest central piece, with the goats and table creating the front story. Keep the cart low and forward so it does not hide the door.
For the goat faces, embroider a soft Y-shaped nose, a small smiling mouth, and tiny brow stitches if desired. Do not overfill the muzzle. A softly stuffed muzzle keeps the face gentle and close to the image.
Add tiny brown stitches to the hooves, ears, and horns for definition. Brush loose yarn ends into place on the haystack and grass clump. Trim only after the full scene is assembled.
Care Notes
- Spot clean only with cool water and mild soap.
- Do not machine wash because the cottage contains support inserts and many sewn decorations.
- Let the piece air dry fully before storing.
- Keep away from direct sunlight to protect the honey gold, green, and cream colors.
Quick Checklist Before You Finish
- The silo stands straight and is firmly attached to the base.
- The roof overhangs evenly around the wall.
- The wheat topper leans slightly to the back-right side.
- The vine climbs diagonally and includes white blossoms and green leaves.
- The balcony is placed on the upper right front side.
- The flower bed, bees, sign, table, goats, cart, jars, haystack, and stone path are all visible from the front.
- All small pieces are sewn securely, especially bees, jars, spoons, and flowers.
Detailed Cleaning and Preservation Guidelines
To preserve the shape, dust the cottage gently with a soft brush. Support the roof with one hand while cleaning the wall so the cone does not shift. Use a cotton swab for the balcony rails, flower centers, and tiny bee wings.
For storage, place the display in a box taller than the wheat topper. Add tissue paper around the goats, cart, and fence, but do not press tissue against the bees or vine flowers. Store flat so the round base stays smooth.
If a small decoration loosens over time, reattach it with matching yarn and a yarn needle. Avoid heavy glue on visible pieces because it can stiffen the stitches and change the handmade crochet texture.
