Gauge and Construction Notes
Use tight stitches so the pieces hold their shape. The lodge and base should feel firm, not floppy. If your stitches are loose, go down one hook size. Most small pieces are worked in continuous rounds unless the pattern says to turn.
The diorama is built from the bottom upward. First make the round snowy base and the frozen lake. Then crochet the lodge panels, roof, trees, animals, sleds, signs, gifts, campfire, and tiny accessories. Finally, sew every piece to the base so it matches the image layout.
Round Snow Base
The base is a flat white circle with an ice-blue lake set into the center. Use 2.75 mm hook and white yarn. Work tightly and block flat before attaching the lodge and figures.

Quick Checklist Before You Finish

- The lodge stands upright with a steep snowy roof.
- The chimney, smoke, wreath, garland, and lights are attached.
- The trees frame the lodge without covering the front door.

- No loose threads remain visible on the front side.
Detailed Cleaning and Preservation Guidelines
Store the finished Frozen Lake Lodge Winter Diorama in a clean box with tissue paper around the chimney, trees, and tiny animals. Do not press heavy items on top of the roof or trees. To remove dust, use a soft brush and gently sweep from the lodge roof toward the outer base.
If the diorama is displayed every winter, check the stitched joins before putting it away. Tighten any loose animal, sled, or tree with matching yarn. This keeps the scene neat, stable, and ready for many cozy seasonal displays.
