Create a playful bakery chef dog doll inspired by Scooby-Doo, complete with a tall chef hat, embroidered bakery apron, striped sleeves, teal collar, diamond tag, crossbody bakery bag, pretzel charm, baguette, and a small whisk. The finished amigurumi has long cream pants, rounded paws, expressive eyes, pointed ears, a large black nose, and detailed bakery accessories.
Please note: I strive for accuracy in every pattern, but occasional errors can happen. Thank you for understanding and for enjoying my designs.
Finished Size
- Finished doll height: About 11.5 inches tall using sport weight cotton yarn and a 2.25 mm hook.
- Chef hat height: About 2 inches from band to crown top.
- Crossbody bag: About 2 inches wide and 2.25 inches tall.
- Baguette: About 5 inches long.
- Whisk: About 4 inches long.
This pattern is worked tightly in continuous rounds unless a row section is clearly stated. Use a stitch marker at the first stitch of each round. Stuff firmly, but do not overstuff the narrow limbs, ears, or small accessories.
Skill Level
Intermediate amigurumi. A confident beginner can complete the doll by following each round carefully. The small details, embroidery, bag decorations, chef hat pleats, and facial shaping require patience, but every section is written with specific stitch counts.

Important Construction Notes
- Work the feet, pants, body, head, muzzle, ears, arms, hat, apron, bag, baguette, and whisk separately.
- The doll in the image has a long dog-like body, a tall head, large rounded muzzle cheeks, and a chef theme with many small embroidered bakery accents.
- The pants are cream and stop above brown shoes. The apron is cream and sits over the torso like a long bakery apron.
- The sleeves are short and striped in cream and teal. The visible lower arms are brown.
- The chef hat sits high on the head, with a cream band and a puffy pleated crown.
- Use tight stitches so the stuffing does not show.
- Pin every piece before sewing. This is especially important for the eyes, muzzle, nose, ears, hat, bag strap, and apron.
Legs, Shoes, and Cream Pants
Right Shoe and Leg
Begin with rust brown yarn for the rounded bakery-style shoe. The shoe is oval, slightly wider at the toe, and flattened at the bottom so the doll can sit nicely.

Left Shoe and Leg
Repeat the same instructions for the left shoe and leg. On the second leg, do not fasten off after Rnd 23. Continue directly to joining the legs for the lower body.
Shoe Toe Details
- With pale tan yarn, embroider four small oval toe stitches on the front of each shoe.
- Use dark brown yarn to surface stitch a curved line across the shoe top, 2 rounds above the toe edge.
- With cream yarn, surface crochet around Rnd 8 to create the thick folded pants cuff seen above each shoe.
- Make the cuff by joining cream yarn to a front loop from Rnd 8, ch 1, sc in each front loop around, sl st to join, then FO.
Join the Legs and Crochet the Body
The body starts at the cream pants and apron area. The lower half should look like cream trousers continuing into a bakery apron. The torso narrows at the shoulders and ends with a teal collar and brown neck.
- Rnd 1: From the second leg, ch 4. Sc 20 around the first leg, sc 4 across the chain, sc 20 around the second leg, sc 4 across the other side of the chain. 48 sts.

The head is tall and slightly pear-shaped. It is narrower near the top, full around the cheeks, and tapered at the lower jaw. The muzzle and nose are sewn separately to create the recognizable long cartoon dog expression.

- Rnd 2: Inc around. 12 sts.
- Rnd 3: Sc 1, inc, repeat 6 times. 18 sts.
- Rnds 4-5: Sc around. 18 sts.

Stuff very lightly. Sew under the two cheek pieces, centered below the nose area. This creates the rounded lower lip and chin seen beneath the muzzle.
Large Black Nose
The nose is oversized, oval, and sits on top of the cheek pieces. It should be the strongest facial feature, projecting forward from the center of the muzzle.
- Rnd 1: With black yarn, ch 6. Starting in the second ch from hook, sc 4, 3 sc in last ch, sc 3 on the other side, inc in last st. 12 sts.

Mini Croissant
- With golden brown yarn, ch 12.
- Starting in second ch from hook, sc 2, hdc 2, dc 3, hdc 2, sc 2.
- FO and curve the strip into a crescent.
- Sew the crescent shape in place on the apron border.
Body Assembly
- Sew the head to the neck using the long tail from the body. Add extra stitches around the front and back so the head does not wobble.
- Pin the arms to the sides of the body at Rnds 18-21 of the torso. The striped sleeves should touch the upper body and the brown hands should hang beside the apron.
- Sew the apron onto the front of the body. Keep the lower apron centered and smooth over the pants.
- Wrap the apron ties around the waist and secure them at the back.
- Sew the collar around the neck, then attach the diamond tag at the front.
- Place the crossbody strap from the doll’s right shoulder to the left hip. Sew the bag at the left side of the apron.
- Sew the pretzel charm to the bag strap or the top side of the bag.
- Place the chef hat on the head and sew it securely around the lower band.
- Arrange the baguette and whisk as separate props, or attach them with small removable loops.
Final Assembly and Facial Detailing
Check the face from the front before making final knots. The eyes should be close together, the eyebrows should arch above them, and the large black nose should sit centered over the two round muzzle cheeks.
- Add small dark brown cheek dots after the muzzle is sewn firmly.
- Reinforce the nose with a second round of hidden sewing stitches.
- Use black thread for the vertical mouth line and small curved lower mouth.
- Angle the ears so they frame the chef hat without being hidden.
- Lightly pinch the lower chin while sewing so it forms the soft rounded jaw shape.
Care Notes
Spot clean the doll with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not soak the chef hat, bag, or embroidered apron, because small details may shift. Let the doll air dry flat on a towel.

Detailed Cleaning and Preservation Guidelines
Keep the finished doll away from strong sunlight to protect the brown, teal, and cream colors. Store it upright or flat in a breathable cotton bag. If the hat crown becomes compressed, gently reshape it by hand and allow it to rest overnight.
For long-term display, keep the baguette and whisk beside the doll instead of under heavy pressure. Avoid pulling on the bag strap, tag loop, or pretzel charm, because these tiny decorative pieces are designed for visual detail rather than rough play.
