Knitting Tutorial: Lion in Argyle Sweater – Free Knitting Pattern

This cheerful knitted lion is made with a golden-yellow body, a large cream muzzle, a black oval nose, looped rust-orange mane, argyle sweater, striped shorts, sailor-style sandals, a small crossbody bag, a flower hair clip, and a matching pom-pom beanie. The finished toy has a soft rounded head, friendly button-like eyes, chunky limbs, and detailed accessories that recreate the cozy handmade look shown in the image.

Please note: I strive for accuracy in every pattern, but occasional errors can happen. Thank you for understanding and for enjoying my designs.

Pattern Overview

This pattern is written for knitting a seated standing-style lion doll with a rounded amigurumi-like structure. Most pieces are worked in the round on double-pointed needles or a long circular needle using the magic loop method. The sweater, shorts, bag, sandals, flower clip, and beanie are included so the finished lion matches the pictured design closely.

The lion has a tall head with a smooth golden forehead and a large cream muzzle covering the lower face. The mane is created from individually secured knitted loops in rust-orange yarn. The sweater is blue with green and yellow argyle diamonds. The shorts are blue, green, and yellow striped. The sandals are beige with open golden toes and embroidered navy anchors.

Finished Size

  • Finished height: About 13 inches from the bottom of the sandals to the top of the mane.
  • Head height: About 4 1/2 inches, not including mane loops.
  • Body height: About 4 inches from neck to lower shorts edge.
  • Leg length: About 4 inches from hip to sandal sole.
  • Arm length: About 3 3/4 inches from shoulder to paw tip.
  • Bag size: About 2 1/4 inches wide and 1 3/4 inches tall.
  • Beanie size: About 2 inches wide and 2 1/4 inches tall including pom-pom.

Skill Level

Intermediate. A confident beginner can make the basic lion body, but the argyle colorwork, looped mane, embroidered sandals, and small accessories require careful counting. Take your time with the finishing details, because they create the character and make the toy match the picture.

Materials

  • Worsted weight yarn: Golden yellow for head, ears, arms, legs, and visible feet.
  • Worsted weight yarn: Cream or ivory for muzzle and paw tips.
  • Worsted weight yarn: Rust orange for the mane and tail tuft.
  • Worsted weight yarn: Denim blue for the sweater base, sleeves, shorts, and bag colorwork.
  • Worsted weight yarn: Moss green for argyle diamonds, cuffs, and stripes.
  • Worsted weight yarn: Mustard yellow for argyle diamonds and short stripes.
  • Worsted weight yarn: Beige or oatmeal for sandals, bag base, and hat.
  • Small amounts: Teal, sky blue, blush pink, lavender, yellow, and green for flower clip, bag motifs, beanie dots, and pom-pom.
  • Black yarn: For nose, mouth curves, toe lines, and optional embroidery.
  • Navy embroidery floss: For anchor motifs on sandals.
  • Two safety eyes: 9 mm or 10 mm glossy black eyes.
  • Two tiny buttons: Beige or wooden-look buttons for the bag flap.
  • One small clip or barrette: Optional, to support the flower accessory.
  • Fiberfill stuffing: Firm stuffing for head, body, muzzle, arms, and legs.
  • Needles: US 5 double-pointed needles or 32-inch circular needle for magic loop.
  • Needles: US 4 needles for cuffs, sandals, bag, and small details.
  • Tapestry needle: For seaming, embroidery, and weaving ends.
  • Stitch markers: At least 6 markers, including one different marker for the round beginning.
  • Row counter: Helpful for matching both arms, both legs, and sweater sections.

Gauge

Exact gauge is less important than firm fabric. The knitted fabric should be tight enough that stuffing does not show through. For the toy body, aim for 6 stitches and 8 rounds per inch in stockinette worked in the round with worsted weight yarn on US 5 needles.

For small accessories, use US 4 needles. A slightly tighter fabric helps the sandals, bag, flower petals, and hat keep their shape. If your fabric feels loose, go down one needle size. If your stitches are too stiff to work comfortably, go up one needle size but stuff gently.

Construction Notes

The head and body are knitted separately, stuffed firmly, and sewn together at a slight forward angle. This gives the lion the friendly standing pose in the image. The legs are attached under the shorts with the feet pointing slightly outward. The arms are sewn to the upper sweater sides and angled downward.

The sweater is knitted as part of the body so it fits smoothly without extra bulk. The argyle pattern is created using stranded colorwork and duplicate stitch. This makes the diamonds look bold while keeping the fabric manageable. The shorts are also knitted directly onto the lower body.

The muzzle is made as a separate oval patch and sewn to the front of the head. The nose is knitted as a small black oval and sewn to the lower center of the cream muzzle. The mane is built from many rust-orange loops secured around the back and sides of the head.

Stuff the body firmly through the neck opening. Shape the lower shorts area into a rounded rectangle and the upper sweater into a soft taper. Pull the top opening partly closed, leaving a small flat neck area about 1 inch wide for attaching the head.

Head

The head is large and rounded, with the golden-yellow top visible above the cream muzzle. The front should be smooth because the eyes and muzzle will be added later.

  1. With golden yellow yarn and US 5 needles, CO 8 sts. Divide and join in the round.

  20. Rnd 32: K2, k2tog around. You now have 24 sts.
  21. Pause to place the safety eyes before closing the head.

📌Thank you for reading the article

Place the eyes between Rnds 17 and 18 of the head, about 7 stitches apart. The eyes should sit high above the muzzle, slightly angled inward, giving the lion the sweet toy-like expression shown in the image.

  1. Rnd 33: K1, k2tog around. You now have 16 sts.
  2. Stuff the head firmly. Keep the front rounded and the back slightly fuller to support the mane.
  3. Rnd 34: K2tog around. You now have 8 sts.
  4. Cut yarn, thread through remaining sts, pull closed, and secure.

Cream Oval Muzzle

The muzzle is an oversized cream oval covering the lower half of the face. It should protrude gently but not look pointy. Sew it on after stuffing lightly.

  1. With cream yarn and US 5 needles, CO 10 sts. Work flat.
  2. Row 1: K all sts.
  3. Row 2: P all sts.
  4. Row 3: Kfb, K8, kfb. You now have 12 sts.
  5. Row 4: P all sts.
  6. Row 5: Kfb, K10, kfb. You now have 14 sts.
  7. Row 6: P all sts.
  8. Row 7: Kfb, K12, kfb. You now have 16 sts.
  9. Row 8: P all sts.
  10. Rows 9-18: Work in stockinette stitch, knitting RS rows and purling WS rows.
  11. Row 19: SSK, K12, k2tog. You now have 14 sts.
  12. Row 20: P all sts.
  13. Row 21: SSK, K10, k2tog. You now have 12 sts.
  14. Row 22: P all sts.
  15. Row 23: SSK, K8, k2tog. You now have 10 sts.
  16. Row 24: P all sts.
  17. BO all sts, leaving a 24-inch sewing tail.

Lightly stuff the muzzle before the final stitches are sewn down. Position the top edge just below the eyes and the lower edge close to the bottom curve of the head. The oval should lean forward slightly and cover the lower golden face.

Black Nose

The nose is a rounded black oval placed on the lower center of the cream muzzle. It should be bold and soft, not flat embroidery only.

  1. With black yarn and US 4 needles, CO 6 sts. Work flat.
  2. Row 1: K all sts.
  3. Row 2: P all sts.
  4. Row 3: Kfb, K4, kfb. You now have 8 sts.
  5. Row 4: P all sts.
  6. Rows 5-8: Work in stockinette stitch.
  7. Row 9: SSK, K4, k2tog. You now have 6 sts.
  8. Row 10: P all sts.
  9. BO all sts, leaving a 12-inch tail.

Sew the nose horizontally to the lower half of the cream muzzle. Add a tiny pinch of stuffing under the center if needed. With black yarn, make one short vertical stitch beneath the nose, then embroider two small curved smile lines only if you want a softer expression. The image shows the nose as the strongest facial detail, so keep the mouth subtle.

Ears

The ears are small golden semicircles that sit partly under the mane. Only the lower yellow edges show clearly near the flower side, so keep them compact.

  1. Make 2. With golden yellow yarn and US 5 needles, CO 8 sts.
  2. Row 1: K all sts.
  3. Row 2: P all sts.
  4. Row 3: Kfb, K6, kfb. You now have 10 sts.
  5. Row 4: P all sts.
  6. Rows 5-8: Work in stockinette stitch.
  7. Row 9: SSK, K6, k2tog. You now have 8 sts.
  8. Row 10: P all sts.
  9. Row 11: SSK, K4, k2tog. You now have 6 sts.
  10. BO all sts, leaving a long sewing tail.

Fold each ear slightly at the base and sew one ear to each side of the head between Rnds 15 and 21. The ears should angle outward and slightly downward. The mane loops will surround them, so do not make them too large.

Looped Rust-Orange Mane

The mane is one of the most important details. It is full, fluffy, curly, and rust orange. The easiest knitted method is to make long i-cord loops, cut them into controlled lengths, and sew them densely around the back and sides of the head.

Knitted Mane Loops

  1. With rust-orange yarn and US 5 double-pointed needles, CO 4 sts.
  2. K all 4 sts. Do not turn. Slide stitches back to the right end of the needle.
  3. Bring yarn behind the work and K all 4 sts again.
  4. Repeat this i-cord method until the cord measures 160 inches total.
  5. BO, leaving a tail. Steam very lightly if needed, but do not flatten the cord.

Cut the cord into loop pieces. For the top mane, cut 18 pieces measuring 5 inches each. For the side mane, cut 24 pieces measuring 4 inches each. For the lower back mane, cut 18 pieces measuring 3 1/2 inches each.

📌Thank you for reading the article

Attaching the Mane

  1. Fold one i-cord piece in half to make a loop.
  2. Thread both cut ends into a tapestry needle.
  3. Insert the needle into the head at the back hairline and pull the ends through to the inside or under nearby stitches.
  4. Secure with two small whipstitches using matching yarn.
  5. Repeat around the head, spacing loops about 1/4 inch apart.
  6. Create the first row of loops from just behind one ear, across the top, to just behind the other ear.
  7. Create the second row directly behind the first row, filling the crown.
  8. Create side rows from the temples down behind the ears.
  9. Create a lower back row around the lower head, stopping before the cream muzzle begins.

After all loops are attached, fluff them with your fingers. The mane should form a round halo around the head, with extra height on top and thick curls falling down the sides. Do not brush the yarn; simply separate and arrange the loops by hand.

Legs

The legs are golden yellow and long enough to show below the shorts. They are knitted separately from the bottom upward and sewn under the body. The sandal straps are added after the legs are stuffed.

  1. Make 2. With golden yellow yarn and US 5 needles, CO 18 sts. Join in the round.
  2. Rnd 1: K all sts.
  3. Rnd 2: P all sts to make a sole guide ridge.
  4. Rnd 3: K all sts.
  5. Rnd 4: K5, kfb, K6, kfb, K5. You now have 20 sts.
  6. Rnds 5-10: K all sts.
  7. Rnd 11: K8, kfb, K2, kfb, K8. You now have 22 sts.
  8. Rnds 12-18: K all sts.
  9. Rnd 19: K9, k2tog, k2tog, K9. You now have 20 sts.
  10. Rnds 20-30: K all sts.
  11. Rnd 31: K3, k2tog around. You now have 16 sts.
  12. Rnd 32: K all sts.
  13. Stuff the leg firmly, keeping the lower foot area slightly wider than the ankle.
  14. Rnd 33: K2tog around. You now have 8 sts.
  15. Cut yarn, thread through remaining sts, pull closed, and secure.

Shape each foot so the front is rounded and slightly flattened at the bottom. The toes will be embroidered later. The legs should stand straight but angle outward slightly when attached under the shorts.

Arms

The arms have blue sweater sleeves, golden yellow lower arms, and cream paw tips. They hang at the sides with the paws turned slightly forward.

  1. Make 2. Begin with cream yarn and US 5 needles. CO 10 sts and join in the round.
  2. Rnd 1: Kfb in each st around. You now have 20 sts.
  3. Rnds 2-5: K all sts with cream.
  4. Rnd 6: Change to golden yellow. K all sts.
  5. Rnds 7-12: K all sts with golden yellow.
  6. Rnd 13: Change to denim blue. K all sts.
  7. Rnd 14: K all sts.
  8. Rnd 15: With moss green, K all sts for one cuff stripe.
  9. Rnd 16: With denim blue, K all sts.
  10. Rnd 17: K4 blue, K3 mustard yellow, K6 blue, K3 moss green, K4 blue.
  11. Rnd 18: K3 blue, K5 mustard yellow, K4 blue, K5 moss green, K3 blue.
  12. Rnd 19: K4 blue, K3 mustard yellow, K6 blue, K3 moss green, K4 blue.
  13. Rnds 20-23: K all sts with denim blue.
  14. Rnd 24: K3, k2tog around. You now have 16 sts.
  15. Rnd 25: K all sts.
  16. Stuff the arm lightly at the sleeve and more firmly at the paw.
  17. Rnd 26: K2tog around. You now have 8 sts.
  18. Cut yarn, thread through remaining sts, pull closed, and secure.

Using black yarn, embroider one small curved line on the cream part of each paw. This detail should look like a simple stitched paw crease, matching the soft black curves visible near the hands in the image.

Feet and Sandals

The sandals are beige slip-on sandals with an open front, visible golden toes, and navy anchor embroidery. They sit over the golden feet and have a slightly raised sole.

Sandal Sole

  1. Make 2. With beige yarn and US 4 needles, CO 9 sts. Work flat.
  2. Row 1: K all sts.
  3. Row 2: P all sts.
  4. Row 3: Kfb, K7, kfb. You now have 11 sts.
  5. Row 4: P all sts.
  6. Rows 5-14: Work in stockinette stitch.
  7. Row 15: SSK, K7, k2tog. You now have 9 sts.
  8. Row 16: P all sts.
  9. BO all sts, leaving a long sewing tail.

Sandal Strap

  1. Make 2. With beige yarn and US 4 needles, CO 18 sts.
  2. Row 1: K all sts.
  3. Row 2: P all sts.
  4. Row 3: K all sts.
  5. Row 4: P all sts.
  6. BO all sts, leaving a sewing tail.

📌Thank you for reading the article

Sew one sole to the bottom of each foot using small whipstitches. Wrap one strap across the top front of each foot, leaving the golden toes visible. Sew strap ends to the sides of the sole.

Toe Lines and Anchor Motifs

  • With black yarn, embroider three vertical toe lines at the open front of each sandal.
  • Each toe line should begin at the sandal opening and extend about 1/2 inch upward.
  • With navy floss, embroider one small anchor on the top of each beige strap.
  • Make the anchor with one vertical stitch, one small crossbar, and one curved bottom line.
  • Add one tiny lavender stitch near the side of each strap if you want the small decorative dot seen in the image.

Argyle Sweater Details

The main diamonds were knitted into the sweater body, but the fine diagonal lines should be added afterward. This gives the sweater the crisp argyle look in the picture.

  • Use moss green, mustard yellow, and light green yarn to outline selected diamonds with duplicate stitch.
  • Use denim blue or teal to add diagonal lines crossing through the diamond centers.
  • For each large diamond, work diagonal duplicate stitches across 7 rows and 7 stitches.
  • Keep the lines light and not too thick. The sweater should still look soft and knitted.
  • Add two small green leaf-like stitches near the lower front, using 3 duplicate stitches for each leaf.

To make one front argyle diamond clearer, choose the center front of the sweater. Duplicate stitch a mustard yellow diamond over 7 stitches wide and 7 rounds tall. On each side, add smaller moss green diamonds over 5 stitches wide and 5 rounds tall. This creates the layered blue, green, and yellow sweater design visible in the image.

Striped Shorts Refinement

The shorts should look snug and slightly ribbed at the hem. After the body is stuffed, use a tapestry needle and blue yarn to define the center separation between the two short legs.

  1. Thread a long piece of denim blue yarn.
  2. Insert the needle at the center front lower edge of the shorts.
  3. Bring the needle out at the center back lower edge.
  4. Pull gently to indent the body and create two leg openings.
  5. Repeat twice, then secure at the back.
  6. Do not pull too tightly, or the body will pucker.

Add one row of duplicate stitch in moss green along the lower shorts edge if the hem needs more definition. Add one thin mustard line above it to match the striped effect seen on the garment.

Crossbody Bag

The small knitted crossbody bag hangs on the lion’s right side and has a beige base with blue and peach colorwork, two buttons, and a pale strap crossing the chest.

Bag Body

  1. With beige yarn and US 4 needles, CO 18 sts. Work flat.
  2. Row 1: K all sts.

  6. Row 5: K2, k2tog, K10, k2tog, K2. You now have 16 sts.
  7. Row 6: P all sts.
  8. BO all sts, leaving a sewing tail.

Fold the beige bag body in half with the colorwork on the front. Sew the side seams. Sew the peach flap to the back top edge, then fold it over the front. Attach two small buttons to the flap front, spacing them about 5 stitches apart.

Bag Strap

  1. With beige yarn and US 4 needles, CO 4 sts.
  2. Work a 4-stitch i-cord until the strap measures 18 inches.
  3. BO all sts and weave in ends.
  4. Sew one end of the strap to each side of the bag.

Place the strap over the lion’s left shoulder so it crosses diagonally over the sweater and lets the bag rest at the right hip. Tack the strap invisibly to the shoulder and side body so it stays in place.

Flower Hair Clip

The flower sits on the lion’s upper right side near the mane and ear. It has multicolored petals, a small bead-like center, and a green leaf behind it.

Petals

  1. Make 6 petals in different colors: teal, sky blue, lavender, blush pink, yellow, and pale green.
  2. For each petal, CO 5 sts with US 4 needles.
  3. Row 1: K all sts.
  4. Row 2: P all sts.

Flower Center and Leaf

  • With cream or pale yellow yarn, make 5 French-knot-style stitches in the center after arranging the petals.
  • For one leaf, CO 6 sts with green yarn, K 1 row, P 1 row, then BO.
  • Pinch the leaf at one end and sew it behind the flower.
  • Sew the flower securely to the mane near the right ear.
  • If using a real clip, sew the flower to the clip first, then attach the clip through the mane loops.

Beanie Brim and Buttons

  • With beige yarn, duplicate stitch a slightly thicker lower brim over the first 3 rounds.
  • Sew one small cream button and one small peach or blue button to the front brim.
  • Add a few extra teal and peach duplicate stitches to mimic the dotted texture in the picture.

Pom-Pom

  1. Wrap teal, blue, cream, and green yarn around two fingers 35 times total.
  2. Tie tightly at the center with a 10-inch strand.
  3. Cut both looped ends and trim into a round pom-pom about 1 1/4 inches wide.
  4. Sew the pom-pom to the top of the beanie.

Tail

The tail is mostly hidden behind the body, but a small rust-orange tuft can be seen near the side. Add a short golden tail with a rust tuft to complete the lion shape.

  1. With golden yellow yarn and US 5 needles, CO 5 sts.
  2. Work a 5-stitch i-cord for 3 inches.
  3. BO all sts.
  4. For the tuft, cut 8 strands of rust-orange yarn, each 4 inches long.
  5. Fold strands in half and tie them to one end of the i-cord.
  6. Trim the tuft to about 1 inch long.
  7. Sew the plain end of the tail to the back lower body, slightly to one side.

Assembly

Before sewing, pin every part in place. Check the toy from the front, sides, and back. The lion should stand with the head slightly forward, the arms relaxed, and the bag resting on the right side.

  1. Sew the head to the body using the golden neck stitches and the blue sweater neckline. Use a ladder stitch all around the neck opening.
  2. Angle the head slightly forward so the face looks down gently rather than straight up.
  3. Sew the legs to the underside of the shorts. Place them about 1 inch apart at the top and angle the feet slightly outward.
  4. Sew the arms to the upper body at Rnds 36-39 of the sweater. The sleeve tops should sit just below the neck line.
  5. Attach the ears before the mane if you have not already done so.
  6. Sew the cream muzzle to the lower front of the head, lightly stuffing it as you sew.
  7. Sew the black nose to the lower center of the muzzle.
  8. Attach mane loops densely around the back and sides of the head.
  9. Sew or clip the flower accessory to the right side of the mane.
  10. Place the crossbody bag strap over the shoulder and tack it in place.
  11. Arrange the sandals and secure any loose strap edges.
  12. Place the beanie beside the lion or make it slightly larger if you want it to fit over the mane.

Detailed Color Placement Guide

The toy in the image has a warm golden lion face, a cream muzzle, and a very full orange mane. Keep the golden color visible on the forehead, around the eyes, and on the arms and legs. The cream should appear only on the muzzle and paw tips.

  • Head: Golden yellow, with cream oval muzzle sewn over the lower front.
  • Mane: Rust-orange looped i-cord curls covering crown, sides, and back.
  • Sweater: Denim blue base with moss green and mustard yellow argyle diamonds.
  • Shorts: Blue base with green and yellow horizontal stripes.
  • Arms: Blue patterned sleeves, golden lower arms, cream paw tips.
  • Legs: Golden yellow from shorts to sandals.
  • Sandals: Beige straps and soles, open golden toes, navy anchor embroidery.
  • Bag: Beige body, teal patterning, peach flap, two tiny buttons.
  • Flower: Multicolored petals with a pale center and small green leaf.
  • Beanie: Beige hat with colorful speckles, buttons, and a blue-green pom-pom.

Facial Embroidery

The face should remain simple and friendly. The glossy eyes and large muzzle do most of the work, so avoid adding too many lines. Keep all knots hidden behind the muzzle or inside nearby stitches.

  1. Use black yarn to secure the nose firmly to the cream muzzle.
  2. Make one short vertical stitch down from the nose, about 1/4 inch long.
  3. Add a tiny curved smile on each side only if desired, using one loose backstitch per side.
  4. Do not pull the mouth stitches too tight, or the muzzle will dent sharply.
  5. Check that the eyes are level and visible above the muzzle.

How to Keep the Toy Balanced

The lion is photographed standing on sandals with the legs straight and the body centered. For a handmade toy, balance depends on firm stuffing and careful leg placement. Stuff the feet and lower legs more firmly than the upper body.

  • Use small pieces of stuffing instead of one large lump.
  • Push stuffing into the heel and toe area of each foot.
  • Keep the body firm but not stretched.
  • Attach the legs with several rounds of stitching around the hip area.
  • Flatten the sandal soles gently after sewing them on.
  • Let the feet angle slightly outward for a stable stance.

Optional Duplicate-Stitch Enhancements

If you want the sweater and bag to look closer to the picture, add surface color after the main knitting is complete. Duplicate stitch is ideal because it sits on top of the knitted fabric and lets you adjust the shapes.

  • Add small blue diagonal lines across the mustard diamonds.
  • Add pale green stitches inside the moss green diamonds.
  • Add tiny yellow stitches near the cuffs to brighten the sleeves.
  • Add teal zigzags to the front of the bag.
  • Add peach and blue dots to the beanie brim.
  • Add a few loose rust-orange strands under the mane loops for extra volume.

Final Assembly and Facial Detailing

Check all seams before finishing. The head should be securely attached with no wobbling. The mane should frame the face but not cover the eyes. The muzzle should sit centered, with the black nose placed low on the cream oval.

  • Trim loose yarn ends only after every detail is attached.
  • Use matching yarn to close visible gaps around the neck.
  • Brush the mane gently with your fingers, not with a comb.
  • Make sure both sandals face forward and sit evenly.
  • Secure the bag strap at the shoulder and hip so it does not slide off.

Care Notes

This lion is best kept as a decorative handmade toy. Because it includes small buttons, safety eyes, embroidered details, and a detachable-style flower, it is not recommended for children under 3 years old unless all small parts are replaced with embroidery.

  • Spot clean with cool water and mild soap.
  • Do not machine wash if using buttons, clips, or safety eyes.
  • Press excess water with a towel instead of wringing.
  • Air dry flat in a shaded place.
  • Reshape the mane loops and sandals while damp if needed.

Quick Checklist Before You Finish

  • Head: Round, firmly stuffed, and angled slightly forward.
  • Muzzle: Cream oval centered below the eyes.

  • Mane: Full rust-orange loops around crown, sides, and back.
  • Sweater: Blue base with visible green and yellow argyle diamonds.

Detailed Cleaning and Preservation Guidelines

Store the knitted lion away from direct sunlight to protect the warm golden yarn, rust mane, and blue sweater from fading. Keep it in a dry place with good airflow. If storing for a long time, wrap it loosely in acid-free tissue or clean cotton fabric.

  • Do not hang the toy by the bag strap or arms.
  • Avoid heavy objects pressing on the mane loops.
  • Refresh flattened mane loops by lifting them gently with your fingers.
  • Check buttons and sewn accessories regularly.
  • For dust, use a soft dry cloth and dab gently around the face and sweater.

Your knitted lion in an argyle sweater is now complete, with the cozy outfit, playful mane, flower detail, sailor sandals, crossbody bag, and matching beanie inspired by the image. Take a final look at the front view and adjust the mane, bag, and feet until the character has the same warm handmade charm.
