This cheerful knitted corgi dog amigurumi is dressed exactly like a tiny garden friend, with a cream and tan corgi face, tall pointed ears, green cardigan, blue carrot overalls, red shoes, yellow crossbody bee bag, sunflower headband, removable blue sun hat, and little knitted carrots. The finished toy has a soft rounded head, short sturdy body, plump limbs, and many embroidered details for a bright handmade display piece.
Please note: I strive for accuracy in every pattern, but occasional errors can happen. Thank you for understanding and for enjoying my designs.

Important Knitting Notes
The toy in the image has a firm, compact knitted fabric with visible vertical stockinette columns. Use needles small enough that stuffing does not show. Stuff the head and body firmly, but do not overstuff the ears, cardigan sleeves, shoes, or bag.
When sewing the parts, keep the face slightly forward-facing and the body upright. The corgi has a large head, short neck, rounded belly under the overalls, short arms, and short thick legs. This balanced shape is essential for matching the image.
- Work all body pieces in stockinette unless a rib, garter edge, or textured cardigan panel is listed.
- Use mattress stitch for visible side seams and whipstitch for tiny decorations.
- Do not stretch the overalls when sewing them to the body. They should look roomy and soft.
- Embroider all carrots after knitting so they sit clearly on top of the blue fabric.
- Pin every part first before sewing. The accessories create the final likeness.
Color Placement Guide
The corgi head is cream in the center with tan side patches. The center cream stripe runs from the top of the forehead down between the eyes, over the muzzle, and around the mouth. Tan sits on both sides of the forehead and cheeks, with one larger tan patch around the viewer’s left eye and a softer patch around the viewer’s right eye.
📌Thank you for reading the article
The ears are large and triangular. The outer ear is tan, the inner ear is cream, and the tan rim frames the cream center. The cardigan is leafy green with short sleeves, textured front panels, embroidered daisies, and four tan buttons on the viewer’s right front. The overalls are denim blue with orange carrots scattered on the bib and pant legs.
Head
Work the head from the lower muzzle upward in the round. Use cream for the center front and tan for the side patches. If you prefer easier knitting, knit the full head in cream and duplicate stitch the tan patches afterward. For the closest image match, use intarsia-in-the-round style or duplicate stitch over the finished head.

Duplicate Stitch Face Patches
If you knitted the head in one color, add tan patches now. The viewer’s left patch begins near the ear base, curves around the eye, and narrows toward the muzzle. The viewer’s right patch is narrower and sits like a soft tan curtain beside the cream forehead stripe.
- Left patch: duplicate stitch 9 sts wide at Rnd 20, 10 sts wide at Rnds 21-23, 8 sts wide at Rnd 24, 6 sts wide at Rnd 25, and 4 sts wide at Rnd 26.

- Forehead stripe: keep a cream stripe about 8 sts wide from the top of the forehead to between the eyes.
Muzzle Shaping and Mouth
The muzzle should look soft and rounded, with a black oval nose centered above a simple embroidered mouth. Use small shaping stitches to pull the cheeks inward very slightly under the eyes.
- Thread a long strand of cream yarn through the lower head.
- Enter at the back of the head and come out below the left eye.
- Take one small stitch downward toward the nose, then return to the back of the head.
- Repeat below the right eye.
- Pull gently until the eyes sit into the face, then knot securely.
- With black yarn, embroider a straight vertical line from the bottom of the nose down 4 rounds.
- Embroider a small curved line to the left over 3 sts and to the right over 3 sts.
Large Pointed Ears
Make two ears. Each ear is a tall triangle with a tan outside and cream inner panel. The ears lean outward at about a 30-degree angle from the head, giving the corgi its alert expression.

Crotch Seam
Return to the 6 held sts from each pant leg. Graft or sew these 12 sts together neatly. Add a tiny amount of stuffing into each pant leg before placing the overalls on the body, so the pants stay rounded like the image.
Carrot Embroidery on Overalls
The image shows many little orange carrots on the bib and legs. Embroider them after the overalls are sewn onto the body. Each carrot is a tapered orange shape with green leafy stitches at the top.

Embroidery Details
Small embroidery makes this pattern match the image. Use short, neat stitches and do not pull too tightly. The knitted fabric should stay smooth, especially on the overalls and cardigan fronts.

Carrots on Overalls
- Use orange yarn for each carrot body.
- Make the top 3 sts wide and the point 1 st wide.
- Use green yarn for 3 leafy top stitches.
- Keep carrots vertical on the bib and slightly angled on the pant legs.
- Use 9 embroidered carrots total for the full image effect.
Bee on Bag
- Make the bee small and rounded, not too large.
- Use black yarn for the outline and head.
- Use yellow yarn for 2 body stripes.
- Use cream yarn for tiny wing stitches.
- Add one small black eye stitch if desired.
Shaping Tips for an Image-Matched Look
The head should be larger than the body, with a soft oval muzzle and high pointed ears. The arms and legs are short and rounded. The outfit should look layered, with the green cardigan sitting over the blue overalls and the yellow bag resting on top.
- For a round muzzle: add more stuffing to the lower front of the head before closing.
- For upright ears: sew through the ear base twice and pull the lower edge into a shallow curve.
- For rounded overalls: lightly stuff the pant legs after placing them on the body.
- For neat shoes: tack the red shoe rim to the cream foot at four points.
- For the cardigan shape: tack the lower fronts open so the bib and carrots remain visible.
Optional Knit Nose Instead of Safety Nose
If this toy is for a young child, avoid plastic parts. Knit and embroider the nose instead. The image has a shiny black nose, but a padded embroidered nose can give a similar rounded shape.
- With black yarn, CO 8 sts.
- Row 1: k all sts.
- Row 2: p all sts.
- Row 3: k1, ssk, k2, k2tog, k1. 6 sts.
- Row 4: p all sts.
- BO. Sew to the muzzle and pad lightly with yarn scraps.
- Cover the surface with satin stitches until smooth and oval.
Blocking and Finishing
Steam blocking should be very light. Do not press the stuffed head, body, or limbs. Only flatten the ear inner panels, cardigan hem, hat brim, bag flap, and small carrot leaves.
- Pin the hat brim flat and steam from 4 in / 10 cm away.
- Pin the cardigan fronts so they open evenly.
- Flatten the sunflower petals with your fingers while damp.
- Shape the ears while the seams are still flexible.
- Let all pieces dry fully before final display.
Final Assembly and Facial Detailing
Sew the head securely to the neck using two full rounds of stitching. Add extra stitches at the front and back of the neck so the large head stays upright. The face should look centered, calm, and slightly curious.
Check that both eyes reflect evenly. If one eye appears too high, use a tiny yarn stitch under the lower eye edge to adjust the expression. Brush away loose fibers around the nose and mouth for a clean finish.
- Confirm the ears are symmetrical and angled outward.
- Confirm the green headband sits smoothly under the sunflower.
- Confirm the yellow bag strap crosses over the cardigan, not under it.
- Confirm the overalls show at the center chest and both pant legs.
- Confirm the shoes sit evenly at the bottom of the feet.
Care Notes
Spot clean the finished corgi with cool water and mild soap. Avoid soaking because the safety eyes, buttons, bag, flowers, and embroidered details may shift if handled roughly while wet.
- Do not machine wash.
- Do not tumble dry.
- Dry flat on a towel.
- Reshape ears, hat brim, and bag while damp.
- Keep away from pets if displayed as decor.

Detailed Cleaning and Preservation Guidelines
For long-term display, keep the corgi away from direct sunlight to protect the blue, green, yellow, and orange colors. Store it in a breathable cotton bag if it will not be displayed for a long time.
If dust collects on the toy, use a soft makeup brush or clean paintbrush to remove it from the ears, cardigan texture, hat brim, and flower petals. Work gently around the embroidered carrots and bee.
- Refresh the shape by gently squeezing the stuffed areas back into place.
- Do not pull the bag strap or headband when moving the toy.
- Check buttons occasionally and restitch if they loosen.
- Keep the loose carrots and hat together in a small labeled bag when storing.
- Use acid-free tissue around the ears and hat brim to preserve their shape.
