Gauge and Notes
Gauge is not critical, but your stitches should be tight enough so the stuffing does not show. For a firm amigurumi shape, use a hook smaller than the yarn label recommends. Keep all pieces evenly stuffed, especially the head, muzzle, body, and feet.
Work most pieces in continuous rounds unless the instructions say otherwise. Place a stitch marker in the first stitch of every round. When changing color for the overalls stripes, complete the last yarn-over of the previous stitch with the new color.
The puppy in the image has a large rounded head, a smaller pear-shaped body, short arms, sturdy white legs, wide feet, floppy brown ears, and a cream-white muzzle. The overalls sit high on the chest, with rounded legs and narrow shoulder straps crossing naturally over the upper body.
Main Puppy Head
Brown Head Base
Use warm brown yarn and the 3.0 mm hook. Stuff firmly as you work. The head should be round, slightly wider at the cheeks, and large compared with the body.

Detailed Cleaning and Preservation Guidelines
For light dust, use a soft dry brush and gently sweep across the stitches. Work in the direction of the crochet texture so the yarn does not become fuzzy. Small accessories such as bees, flowers, and straps should be handled with extra care.
For stains, dampen a clean cloth with cool water and a small amount of gentle soap. Dab the area instead of rubbing. Remove soap with another damp cloth, then press with a dry towel. Allow the piece to dry naturally in a well-ventilated place.
To store the puppy, wrap it loosely in acid-free tissue or a clean cotton cloth. Do not compress the hat brim, ears, bag, or sunflower. Keep the doll upright whenever possible so the head and accessories maintain their shape.
If the overalls or hat flatten during storage, reshape them gently by hand. The brim can be lightly dampened and placed over a rounded object until dry. Never iron the amigurumi directly, as heat can damage yarn, stuffing, safety eyes, and buttons.
