Gauge and General Notes
Use tight stitches so the cottage, animals, pumpkins, and vegetables hold a clean rounded shape. The image shows a compact amigurumi texture, so do not use a loose gauge. If your stuffing shows through, change to a smaller hook.
- With 3.25 mm hook, 6 sc rounds should measure about 1.5 in across.
- Work most amigurumi pieces in continuous rounds unless a join is stated.
- Use stitch markers to keep the front center aligned, especially on the teapot cottage and red panda faces.
- Stuff the cottage firmly but not hard. The walls should be round and smooth, like a teapot body.
- For a display piece, sew every part securely to the green base so it can be moved safely.
Large Green Display Base
The base is a thick rectangular crochet platform with rounded edges. It supports the cottage on the left, the pond and bridge in front, and the pumpkin patch and vegetable beds on the right.

Detailed Cleaning and Preservation Guidelines
- Use a soft brush to remove dust from the garden beds, roof ruffle, bridge railings, and red panda tails.
- For small stains, dab gently with a damp cloth. Do not rub the embroidered faces or sign lettering.
- Store the piece flat in a box with tissue paper around the cottage handle and spout.
- Avoid direct sunlight for long periods because orange, green, and blue yarn may fade.
- Check sewn pieces occasionally. If a pumpkin, vegetable, lantern, or sign loosens, resew it with matching yarn before displaying again.
