Pattern Overview
This pattern is written in US English and is designed to produce a seated bunny approximately 13 inches tall from the bottom of the feet to the top of the bonnet ruffle.
The body proportions are intentionally sweet and slightly elongated, with a rounded head, slim neck, narrow shoulders, softly filled trunk, long straight legs, and gently tapered arms.
The knitted fabric should be smooth, dense, and even.
Use a needle size that keeps the stuffing from showing through.
The dress has a full skirt with a decorative lower border and flower embroidery placed over the lower half, matching the image as closely as possible.
The cardigan is short, cream colored, and worn open at the front.
The bonnet has a soft rolled crown, a gathered ruffle frame, and three little flower accents near the upper edge.
The tiny mouse companion is included as part of the full display because it appears in the image and completes the styling.

General Notes
- This bunny is worked mostly in the round for a smooth toy finish.
- The ears, arms, and legs are made separately and sewn on.
- The head is shaped with subtle cheek softness and a narrow muzzle area created by embroidery placement rather than deep sculpting.
- Stuff firmly but not rock hard. The toy in the image has a soft, elegant silhouette rather than a rigid one.
- Keep all seam lines centered and symmetrical.
- When sewing garments, use small invisible stitches.

Facial Embroidery for Bunny and Mouse

- Bunny nose: embroider a small inverted Y shape in dusty taupe or light brown centered 5 rows below eye line
- Bunny mouth: extend the lower split of the Y just slightly for a delicate mouth
- Mouse eyes: use tiny French knots or one short straight stitch each
- Mouse nose: one pink satin stitch triangle
Assembly
- Sew legs to lower body so they hang evenly and allow the bunny to sit with feet forward.
- Sew arms to upper sides of body, just below neck shaping.
- Sew ears to top sides of head, slightly behind eye line so they fall downward.
- Dress the bunny in the pink dress and sew the shoulder joins if needed after fitting.
- Put on cardigan and tack front edges lightly at shoulder line only if desired.
- Tie bonnet under chin in a soft bow or half knot.
- Slide on shoes and secure the straps with tiny buttons.
- Place bag strap diagonally from one shoulder across the body.
- Tack bouquet lightly into one hand with a few hidden stitches.
- Set the mouse at the bunny side and tack in place for display if you want a fixed arrangement.
Final Assembly and Facial Detailing
Check the head tilt before securing the final neck stitches from inside if needed.
The bunny in the image has a straight, calm posture with only a slight softness at the neck.
Keep the eyes small and low contrast.
Do not over-sculpt the face.
A tiny embroidered nose and clean vertical eyes will give the sweetest result.
Care Notes
- Display use is recommended.
- Gentle supervised play is fine if all small attachments are securely sewn.
- Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to preserve the soft pink tones.
- Avoid hanging the bunny by the bonnet ties or bag strap.
Quick Checklist Before You Finish
- Are both ears sewn at the same height and angle?
- Do the dress hem and embroidery sit centered at the front?
- Is the cardigan short enough to show the dress bodice clearly?
- Does the bonnet ruffle frame the face evenly?
- Are the shoes aligned and the straps matching?
- Is the bouquet scaled small enough for the hand?
- Is the mouse companion proportionally tiny beside the bunny?
Detailed Cleaning and Preservation Guidelines
Dust gently with a clean cosmetic brush or soft dry cloth.
For deeper cleaning, spot clean only with cool water and a tiny amount of mild wool wash.
Blot, reshape, and dry flat away from heat.
Do not machine wash, wring, or tumble dry.
To store long term, wrap in acid-free tissue and keep in a breathable box in a dry place.
