General Notes
This pattern is written as a close visual reconstruction of the knitted scene in the image. The shaping focuses on the same soft proportions: a round head, slim neck, pear-shaped body, narrow hanging arms, long floppy ears, oversized flowered dress, rolled-brim hat, miniature shoulder bag, and matching decorative companions.
Work all toy pieces with a firm tension so stuffing does not show through. Use the long-tail cast-on unless another method is specified. For the cleanest finish, sew all major seams with mattress stitch or invisible grafting where appropriate.
The bunny body is worked from the feet upward in separate legs, joined into one body, then shaped for torso, neck, and head. The arms and ears are knitted separately and sewn on after stuffing. The dress, hat, bag, and props are separate pieces.

Place the safety eyes between Rnds 52 and 53, spacing them 10 sts apart on the front center line. If embroidering eyes later, mark the placement now with scrap yarn. Add stuffing firmly as you work, concentrating fullness in the cheeks and forehead.
Shape the Nose Area
The image shows a softly defined muzzle rather than a protruding snout. Use a sculpted embroidered muzzle after stuffing, but the following subtle shaping helps create the same effect.

Arms
Make 2 in main bunny color. The arms should be slim and slightly tapered, hanging to around the lower waist. Work in the round.
- CO 8 sts and join.
- Rnd 1: Knit.
- Rnd 2: KFB in each st around. 16 sts.
- Rnd 3-5: Knit 3 rnds.

- Rnd 7-10: Knit 4 rnds.
- Rnd 11: k5, k2tog, k5, ssk. 12 sts.
- Rnd 12-24: Knit 13 rnds.
- Rnd 25: k2tog around. 6 sts.
Stuff only the hand and lower forearm lightly. Flatten the open edge and sew closed across 3 stitches. This flat edge makes a soft shoulder seam that matches the downward angle seen in the image.
Ears
Make 2 in main bunny color. Work flat so the ears remain soft and floppy.
- CO 10 sts.
- Row 1 (RS): Knit.
- Row 2: Purl.

- Row 32: Purl.
- Row 33: k2tog twice. 2 sts.
- Row 34: P2tog. 1 st.
Fasten off. Make a second identical ear. Steam very lightly if needed. Fold the lower ear edge by 1/4 inch before sewing so each ear falls softly from under the hat.
Dress
The dress is an ivory, gently flared, sleeveless dress decorated with trailing three-dimensional white blossoms and delicate floral embroidery. It fits over the bunny body and sits slightly above the feet, creating the same bell shape seen in the image.
Dress Skirt and Bodice
Work from lower hem upward in the round with ivory yarn.
- CO 88 sts loosely. Join for working in the round.
- Rnd 1: Purl.
- Rnd 2: Knit.
- Rnd 3: Purl.
- Rnd 4-14: Knit 11 rnds.
- Rnd 15: k10, k2tog, rep around. 80 sts.

- Rnd 21: k8, k2tog, rep around. 72 sts.
- Rnd 22-26: Knit 5 rnds.
- Rnd 27: k7, k2tog, rep around. 64 sts.

- Rnd 39-42: Knit 4 rnds.
- Rnd 43: k4, k2tog, rep around. 40 sts.
- Rnd 44-47: Knit 4 rnds.
At this point, the dress should fit over the widest part of the bunny body with a comfortable amount of positive ease. Check fit before continuing. The front must remain smooth because the floral embroidery will sit there.
Separate for Front and Back
- Divide the 40 sts into 20 front and 20 back. Work flat now.

- Rows 15-18: Work 4 rows in st st.
- BO all 4 sts.
- Rejoin yarn to second side and make second strap the same.
Dress Finishing
Sew shoulder straps together. Try the dress on the bunny. The lower hem should spread outward in a rounded arc and rest just above the feet. If needed, tack the dress lightly at each underarm and center back with tiny hidden stitches.
Three-Dimensional White Blossoms for Dress
The visible dress has sculptural white blossoms climbing from the lower left skirt upward, plus a few blossoms across the front and near the shoulder line. Make a generous number of flowers in three sizes and arrange them before sewing permanently.
Small 5-Petal Blossom
Make about 18.
- CO 15 sts.
- Row 1 (WS): Purl.
- Row 2: *k3, turn, p3, turn, k3, slip next 3 sts back to left needle; rep from * 4 more times.
- Cut yarn, thread through all sts, pull into a circle, and stitch first petal to last petal.
Medium Layered Blossom
Make about 10.
- CO 20 sts.
- Row 1: *k1, yo, k2tog; rep to end. 20 sts.
- Row 2: Purl.
- Row 3: Knit.
- Cut yarn and thread through all sts. Gather tightly into a ring.
- Make a second identical ring and stack the two layers offset from each other. Sew together at center.
Tiny Bud
Make about 16.
- CO 6 sts.
- Row 1: k1, KFB, k2, KFB, k1. 8 sts.
- Row 2: Purl.
- Row 3: k2tog, k4, k2tog. 6 sts.
- Cut yarn, thread through sts, pull into a tiny bud cup.
Flower Placement
Pin the blossoms in an asymmetrical trailing layout. The largest cluster should begin at the bunny’s lower left side, cross toward center front, and continue upward to the left shoulder. Add a few blossoms on the right front for balance, but keep the left side fuller.
Use medium layered blossoms near the hem and lower skirt where the image shows larger white blooms. Use small blossoms and buds climbing upward so the arrangement looks light and natural. Sew each flower at the center only so the petals remain dimensional.
Floral Embroidery on Dress
The dress front has delicate pink, green, and tiny accent flowers. Embroider after the dress is sewn and fitted so the motifs stay centered. Use duplicate stitch, straight stitch, lazy daisy, and tiny French knot style wraps if you enjoy them, but keep the result soft and minimal.
- Center chest spray: 3 thin green stems rising upward, 2 pink blossoms, 1 cream flower, 4 sage leaves
- Scattered front flowers: tiny pink, yellow, and pale blue dots with little leaf pairs
- Lower trailing stems: olive green stems beneath blossom clusters, lightly curving downward

Keep each embroidered section small. The image shows delicate detail, not dense coverage. Leave areas of plain ivory visible between clusters so the raised knitted flowers stand out clearly.
Hat
The hat is a soft cloche shape with a rolled brim and a band area decorated by embroidered flowers on one side. It should sit low on the forehead and cover the ear bases.
Hat Crown and Brim
- Using ivory yarn, CO 8 sts and join.
- Rnd 1: KFB in each st. 16 sts.
- Rnd 2: Knit.
- Rnd 3: k1, KFB, rep around. 24 sts.
- Rnd 4: Knit.
- Rnd 5: k2, KFB, rep around. 32 sts.
- Rnd 6: Knit.
- Rnd 7: k3, KFB, rep around. 40 sts.
- Rnd 8: Knit.
- Rnd 9: k4, KFB, rep around. 48 sts.
- Rnd 10-18: Knit 9 rnds.
- Rnd 19: k4, k2tog, rep around. 40 sts.
- Rnd 20: Knit.
- Rnd 21: k3, k2tog, rep around. 32 sts.
- Rnd 22: Knit.
- Rnd 23: k3, M1R, rep around. 40 sts.
- Rnd 24: Knit.
- Rnd 25: k4, M1R, rep around. 48 sts.
- Rnd 26-29: Knit 4 rnds.
- Rnd 30: Purl.
- Rnd 31-33: Knit 3 rnds.
- BO loosely.
The purl ridge on Rnd 30 encourages the soft brim roll. Steam lightly over your hand and shape while warm. Do not flatten the crown too much. The hat in the image is softly rounded and not sharply structured.
Hat Flower Embroidery
Embroider a flower cluster on one side of the hat, slightly above the brim line.
- One blush pink flower with 5 petals
- One pale yellow flower
- One pale blue flower
- Olive and sage leaves around the cluster
Use lazy-daisy petals or small satin-stitched petals. Add a tiny cream center to each flower. Keep the cluster compact so it resembles the charming side detail in the image.
Shoulder Bag
The bag is a tiny cream crossbody pouch with embroidered flowers. It hangs from the bunny’s right shoulder toward the left hip area, crossing the front diagonally.
Bag Body
- CO 14 sts with ivory yarn.
- Rows 1-16: Work in st st, slipping first stitch of every row for neat edges.
- BO all sts.
Fold the rectangle so the lower portion forms a pouch about 1 1/4 inches tall. Sew side seams. Leave top open.
Bag Flap
- Pick up 14 sts along back top edge.
- Row 1: Knit.
- Row 2: Purl.
- Row 3: k1, ssk, k8, k2tog, k1. 12 sts.
- Row 4: Purl.
- Row 5: k1, ssk, k6, k2tog, k1. 10 sts.
- Row 6: Purl.
- Row 7: k1, ssk, k4, k2tog, k1. 8 sts.
- Row 8: Purl.
- BO all sts.
Bag Strap
- Using dpns, CO 3 sts.
- Work 26 rows of i-cord.
- BO and sew each end to the upper side corners of the bag.
Embroider three tiny flowers and a few green stems on the front pouch. Keep the scale very small. Sew the finished bag onto the bunny after dressing, with a hidden tack stitch at the hip so it rests neatly against the skirt.

- Row 10: Purl.
- Rows 11-14: Work remaining shoulder sections separately if desired, or simply wrap the vest around the body and seam as an open-front vest.
The easiest finish is to use the rectangle as a sleeveless open vest, seaming only the shoulders. The front edges should stay open, matching the look in the image.
Hedgehog Hat
- With blue yarn, CO 24 sts and join.
- Rnd 1-4: Knit.
- Rnd 5: k2tog around. 12 sts.
- Rnd 6: Knit.
- Cut yarn, thread through sts, pull tight.

Embroider a tiny pink flower on one side and wrap one green stitch line above the brim to mimic the decorative band.
Mini Watering Can
This tiny prop sits near the hedgehog. It is decorative, not functional.
Can Body

- Rnd 6: Purl.
- Rnd 7-11: Knit 5 rnds.
- Rnd 12: purl.
- BO loosely.
For a basket-like texture, use a slightly tighter tension and lightly steam into a rounded bowl shape. If desired, stitch a hidden circle of felt inside the base for stability.
Basket Handle
- CO 3 sts.
- Work 24 rows of i-cord.
- BO and sew ends to opposite sides of basket rim.
Berries
Make 7 to 9 red berries.
- With berry red yarn, CO 6 sts and join.

- CO 12 sts.
- Rows 1-18: Work in garter stitch.
- BO all sts.
Birdhouse Assembly
Sew front, back, and side panels together. Stuff lightly to keep the shape soft but standing. Sew roof panels together along top edge, then attach to house with a slight overhang on both sides.
For the entry hole, embroider a dark brown ring or applique a tiny knitted circle.
Birdhouse Flowers
Make 3 to 5 blue blossoms using the small blossom method above. Sew them near the lower left front of the house. Add green stitched stems and leaves around the base, and a small green tuft at the top roof corner if desired.
Final Assembly of Bunny Set
Before sewing anything permanently, place all pieces together exactly as shown in the image. The bunny should remain the tallest central figure, with the birdhouse to the left, the hedgehog and watering can to the right front, and the berry basket behind the hedgehog.
Assemble the Bunny
- Sew the ears to the upper sides of the head, starting about 5 to 6 rounds behind the eye line.
- Angle the ears downward so they fall softly along the cheeks and shoulders.
- Sew the arms to the upper torso just below the neck shaping.
- Angle the arms slightly forward and downward.
- Dress the bunny and tack the shoulder straps and underarms invisibly if needed.
- Place the hat low on the head and tack at the sides, allowing a soft tilt toward the flowered side.
- Add the crossbody bag, placing the pouch at the bunny’s front right-to-left diagonal as in the image.
Facial Embroidery
The face is simple and sweet, with tiny black eyes, a narrow stitched nose, and a soft split mouth.
- Use black embroidery thread to create two tiny oval eyes if you did not use safety eyes.
- Embroider the nose with 6 to 8 horizontal satin stitches in a small triangle shape.
- From the center bottom of the nose, stitch a short vertical line downward.
- Add a tiny split mouth with one short slant stitch to each side.
To create the sculpted muzzle seen in the image, insert a long needle at the back of the head, come out near one side of the nose, re-enter at the opposite side, and pull gently. Repeat once vertically if desired. Knot securely and hide the ends inside the head.
Styling Notes for Accurate Photo Matching
For the closest match to the image, keep the bunny body slender under the dress. Do not overstuff the torso or arms. The head should remain round and slightly oversized compared with the body. The feet should be small and together, not spread apart.
Use mostly ivory and white, with only soft pastel accents. The flowers should look dimensional and romantic rather than bright or bold. Keep the embroidery fine. The overall mood should feel delicate, vintage, and garden-inspired.
Final Assembly and Facial Detailing
Check that the ears fall evenly, the hat sits low, and the shoulder bag crosses naturally. Re-shape the cheeks with gentle stuffing adjustments if needed. Keep the eyes small and calm. A tiny nose and short mouth line will preserve the sweet expression shown in the image.
Care Notes
- Display indoors away from direct sunlight
- Avoid heavy squeezing of the dimensional flowers
- Handle the hat brim and bag strap gently
- Use this set as decor or a gentle collectible toy rather than rough-play item
Quick Checklist Before You Finish
- Are both ears attached at the same height?
- Does the dress flare evenly around the body?
- Are the white blossoms clustered mostly on the left front?
- Is the hat flower embroidery placed on one side only?
- Does the bag strap cross the chest neatly?
- Are the props scaled smaller than the bunny and arranged like the photo?
Detailed Cleaning and Preservation Guidelines
Dust gently with a soft dry brush. Spot clean only with cool water and a mild wool-safe soap. Press moisture out with a towel and reshape by hand. Dry flat away from heat. For long-term storage, wrap in acid-free tissue and keep in a breathable box.
