This cheerful autumn tiger is knitted as a soft standing amigurumi with a rounded orange head, white muzzle panels, black embroidered tiger stripes, button eyes, and a black oval nose. The outfit includes a blue-and-yellow Fair Isle style sweater, sage green overalls with straps and pockets, brown sandals with tiny flowers, a fox crossbody bag, a floral headband, small acorns, a straw hat, and two little pumpkins.
Please note: I strive for accuracy in every pattern, but occasional errors can happen. Thank you for understanding and for enjoying my designs.
Finished Size
- Main tiger: about 13 in / 33 cm tall when knitted with DK yarn and firm stuffing.
- Head width: about 5 in / 12.5 cm across the cheeks.

- Pumpkins: about 1.5 in and 2 in / 4 cm and 5 cm wide.
- Hat: about 4 in / 10 cm wide across the brim.
Skill Level
Intermediate. This pattern uses small-circumference knitting, increases, decreases, color changes, simple stranded colorwork, mattress stitch, duplicate stitch, embroidery, and small decorative pieces. A confident beginner can make it slowly by following the stitch counts carefully.

- If your stitches are loose, go down to 3.0 mm needles.
- If your tiger becomes too small and stiff, go up to 3.5 mm needles but keep all stitch counts the same.

Construction Notes
The tiger is worked in separate pieces and sewn together. The head is a round orange shape with white cheek patches added separately, giving the face the same full plush look as the image. The body is knitted in sweater colors first, then the sage overalls are knitted as a fitted garment and sewn over the body.
The arms show blue sweater sleeves, orange wrist bands, and white paws. The legs are orange tiger legs with green overall legs covering the upper portion. The sandals are separate bands so they sit raised on the feet, just like the picture.

Work the head in pumpkin orange in the round. Stuff firmly as you go, especially around the cheeks and lower face. The head should be round but slightly taller than wide.

- Place the fox bag strap across the body and secure it with a few hidden stitches at the shoulder and hip.
- Arrange the straw hat and pumpkins beside the tiger as separate props.
Colorwork Placement Guide
The sweater sleeves and visible chest should show a cozy autumn Fair Isle effect. Do not worry if every small motif is not identical on both sides, but keep the colors balanced. Use blue as the base, cream as the light contrast, and mustard as the warm autumn accent.
- Keep floats loose on the wrong side so the stuffed arms do not pucker.
- Twist yarns every 3 or 4 sts when carrying colors.
- Use duplicate stitch after knitting if you prefer cleaner small motifs.
- Place mustard stitches in short diagonal groups to imitate tiny leaves.
- Place cream stitches in pairs to imitate small snowflake-style dots.
Facial Embroidery Details
The expression depends on careful placement. The eyes should sit slightly above the muzzle and not too far apart. The black nose should be centered and rounded, with the lower mouth line pulled gently downward.
- Use black yarn split into thinner strands for the forehead stripes.
- Make the center orange forehead area visible between the two white face panels.
- Keep the whisker dots small and round, not long lines.
- Secure all embroidery tails inside the head with a long needle.
Final Assembly and Facial Detailing
After all parts are attached, hold the tiger upright and check the balance. Add extra hidden stitches under the overalls if the body twists. Shape the cheeks by gently massaging the stuffing outward with your fingers.
Use a long strand of matching orange yarn to pull lightly from the back of the head to each eye area if you want a softer eye indentation. Do not pull too tightly; the face should stay friendly and plush.
Care Notes
- Spot clean only with cool water and mild soap.
- Do not machine wash if you used buttons, beads, or safety eyes.
- Let the tiger air dry flat on a towel.
- Keep away from pets and very young children if small buttons are attached.
Quick Checklist Before You Finish
- Both ears are even and rounded.
- White cheek panels are symmetrical.
- Nose is centered above the two muzzle pads.
- Overalls have two straps, two front buttons, bib pocket, side pockets, and rolled cuffs.
- Arms show white paws, orange wrists, and blue patterned sleeves.
- Sandals have beige soles, brown straps, and pink flower accents.
- Fox bag rests across the chest and sits at the hip.
- Headband includes flowers, leaves, and two acorns.
- Hat and pumpkins are finished as separate autumn accessories.
Detailed Cleaning and Preservation Guidelines
To preserve the knitted texture, avoid soaking the finished tiger. Dab marks with a damp cloth, then press with a dry towel. Reshape the ears, muzzle, overalls, and flowers while damp.
Store the tiger upright in a dry place away from direct sunlight. If the accessories flatten, gently fluff the flowers, acorns, hat brim, and pumpkins by hand. Keep the crossbody strap smooth so it does not stretch over time.
