This sweet knitted Piglet garden doll is dressed in pale yellow honeycomb overalls, a cream ruffle shirt, matching yellow sandals, and tiny bee-and-daisy decorations. The full set includes a floppy garden hat, a honey jar, a striped bee plush, and a small honeycomb shoulder bag, all designed to match the soft pink doll shown in the image.
Please note: I strive for accuracy in every pattern, but occasional errors can happen. Thank you for understanding and for enjoying my designs.
Finished Size and Construction Style
This pattern creates a seated doll about 11.5–12.5 inches tall from the bottom of the body to the top of the head, not including the ears. With the ears standing upward, the finished height is about 15 inches. The doll is knitted in small pieces, stuffed firmly, and sewn together for a rounded handmade toy look.
The body, head, arms, legs, ears, snout, clothing, hat, honey jar, honeycomb bag, bees, flowers, and leaves are all included. Most pieces are worked in the round. A few flat pieces are added where shaping is easier for beginners.
Materials
- Yarn weight: DK or light worsted yarn works best for a firm doll fabric.
- Main pink yarn: about 95 yd for head, body, arms, legs, ears, and snout.
- Dark pink yarn: about 35 yd for inner ears, deeper nose shaping, and small details.
- Pale yellow yarn: about 95 yd for overalls, sandals, hat, honey jar, and honeycomb bag.
- Cream yarn: about 35 yd for shirt, hat band, daisies, wings, and label.
- White yarn: small amount for daisy petals and bee wings.
- Mustard yarn: small amount for bee bodies and flower centers.
- Black yarn or embroidery floss: for bee stripes, smile, eyebrows, honey jar letters, and tiny bee eyes.
- Brown yarn: about 12 yd for shoulder strap and honeycomb bag detail.
- Green yarn: small amount for leaves.
- Safety eyes: two 8 mm glossy black safety eyes.
- Needles: US size 3, 3.25 mm double-pointed needles or circular needle for magic loop.
- Smaller needles: US size 2, 2.75 mm needles for straps, flowers, and small accessories.
- Stuffing: polyester fiberfill.
- Other tools: yarn needle, stitch markers, pins, scissors, removable markers, and black sewing thread if preferred.
Gauge
Gauge: 24 stitches and 32 rounds = 4 inches in stockinette stitch with US size 3 needles. Exact gauge is not critical, but the knitted fabric must be tight enough so stuffing does not show through.
For a firm toy, use needles one or two sizes smaller than the yarn label recommends. The knitted stitches in the image are compact, smooth, and clearly visible, so avoid loose knitting.

Important Pattern Notes
- Stuff each piece gradually as you knit whenever the opening becomes narrow.
- Use a firm but soft stuffing style. The head should be round and smooth, while the arms and legs should remain slightly flexible.
- All rounds are knitted unless a purl round or special stitch is clearly written.
- For pieces worked flat, odd-numbered rows are usually RS knit rows and even-numbered rows are WS purl rows.
- The seated pose is made by sewing the legs to the lower front of the body at a forward angle.
- The ears are long, slightly curved, and sewn to the top of the head with the darker pink inner side facing forward.
- The overalls are knitted separately and fitted over the body like clothing, then stitched in place lightly.
Main Head
The head is a large rounded oval with a soft vertical stockinette texture. It is wider at the cheeks, slightly narrower near the top, and shaped firmly so the face looks gentle and smooth.
- With main pink yarn, CO 8 sts and divide over 3 needles. Join in the round, being careful not to twist.

- BO all sts. Stuff lightly to make a firm short cylinder.

Sew the snout centered between the eyes, with its top edge about 4 rounds below the eyes. Use small hidden stitches around the base. Embroider two short vertical nostril lines in deeper pink or black.
Smile and Eyebrows
- Thread black embroidery floss onto a sharp yarn needle.
- For the smile, make one shallow curved line below the snout, about 1 inch wide.
- Use backstitch and keep the curve soft, not too dark.
- For the eyebrows, stitch one small arched line above each eye, angled gently upward toward the outside.
- Secure all thread ends inside the head.

- Close opening and weave in end.
Large Bee Wings
- Make two wing pieces using the bee wing instructions, but begin with CO 6 sts instead of 4 sts.
- Work one extra stockinette row before decreasing.
- Sew both wings to the top of the bee, angled outward.
Embroider two black eyes near the front and a small curved smile. Add short black antennae with two tiny straight stitches.
Head Daisy and Bee Decoration
The top of the head has a small daisy cluster and a tiny bee near the base of one ear. This detail gives the doll the garden theme shown in the image.
- Make 2 small daisies and 1 tiny bee.
- Sew the daisies near the lower outside edge of the doll’s right ear.
- Sew the tiny bee across the flower cluster at a slight angle.
- Keep the stitches hidden so the decoration looks naturally attached.
Assembling the Doll
Take time during assembly. The finished doll depends on careful placement more than difficult knitting. Pin every piece before sewing so the proportions match the reference image.
- Place the body upright with the flatter side at the bottom.
- Sew the neck stabilizer to the top center of the body.
- Place the head over the neck and check that the face points straight forward.
- Sew the head securely to the body using the long body tail. Stitch around the neck twice.
- Pin the ears to the top of the head, about 1.5 inches apart.
- Angle the ears upward and slightly outward. Sew the base of each ear firmly.
- Put the cream shirt on the body.
- Slide the overalls over the shirt and pull the bib to the front.
- Sew the overalls lightly at the back waist, side seams, and strap points.
- Slide one sleeve over each arm.
- Sew the arms to the body just under the shoulders, angled downward.
- Sew the legs to the lower front body, angled forward into a seated pose.
- Place one sandal over each foot and stitch around the sole edge.
- Add the shoulder bag across the body and secure it near the hip.
Decorating the Overalls and Sandals
- Sew one small bee to the lower left front of the overalls.
- Sew one daisy near the honeycomb bag at the doll’s right hip.
- Add cream honeycomb embroidery across the bib and lower front.
- Sew a tiny bee to one sandal strap.
- Sew a small daisy to the other sandal strap.
- Keep all decorations low-profile so they do not pull the fabric out of shape.
Making the Set Look Like the Image
The image has a soft garden picnic feeling. To match that style, arrange the finished doll sitting upright with the hat to the left, honey jar to the right, and large bee in front of the jar.
- Place the hat flat on the table with the brim slightly curled.
- Set the honey jar upright near the doll’s right side.
- Place the large bee at the front right corner.
- Keep the shoulder bag resting against the doll’s right hip.
- Use the flower and bee decorations sparingly but visibly.
Final Assembly and Facial Detailing
Check the face after the full doll is assembled. The snout should sit centered and slightly raised. The eyes should look evenly spaced, glossy, and gentle. If the smile seems too low, carefully remove it and restitch a soft curve closer to the snout.
The ears should be tall and symmetrical. If one ear leans too much, add a few extra stitches at the base. The head flower cluster should sit close to the ear, not in the center of the forehead.
- Brush away loose fibers with clean fingers.
- Tuck all yarn ends deeply inside the doll.
- Check that small decorations are secure.
- Do not leave long thread loops on the surface.
Care Notes
This doll is a decorative handmade toy with small parts. If it will be handled by a young child, replace safety eyes with embroidered eyes and sew all accessories permanently in place.
- Spot clean only with cool water and mild soap.
- Do not machine wash if the doll has safety eyes, tiny bees, or attached flowers.
- Let the doll air dry completely before storing.
- Keep away from high heat, direct sun, and pets.

Detailed Cleaning and Preservation Guidelines
For long-term display, place the doll in a dry area away from strong sunlight. Sunlight can fade pink and yellow yarn over time. A shelf, craft display box, or covered basket is ideal.
To remove dust, use a soft clean makeup brush or a low-power handheld vacuum held several inches away. Do not pull on the daisies, wings, straps, or honey jar tie.
If a small spot appears, dampen a white cloth with cool water and gently dab the area. Avoid rubbing, because rubbing can felt the stitches and blur the clear knitted texture.
Before storing, wrap the doll loosely in acid-free tissue or clean cotton fabric. Store the accessories beside the doll rather than stacked on top, so the ears, brim, and flowers keep their shape.
