Please note: I strive for accuracy in every pattern, but occasional errors can happen. Thank you for understanding and for enjoying my designs.
Finished Size

- Standing body length: about 13 inches from shoes to hat.
- Sailboat: about 3.25 inches wide.

Important Pattern Notes
- Work most amigurumi pieces in continuous rounds unless a joined round is clearly stated.
- Stuff the head and body firmly, but keep the ears, straps, flowers, mane, satchel flap, sails, and starfish points lightly stuffed or flat.
- Use a stitch marker at the first stitch of every round.
- For clean stripes, change color on the last yarn-over of the stitch before the new color begins.
- The zebra sits with the legs angled forward, so do not sew the legs straight down.
- The face has a large black muzzle centered on the lower front of the head, with white upper face, black stitched cheek stripes, black mane, and small blush cheeks.
Gauge
Using a 2.5 mm hook and worsted weight yarn, 8 sc rounds should measure about 1 inch tall, and 8 sc should measure about 1 inch wide. Gauge is not critical, but the stitches must be tight enough that stuffing does not show through.
Head
The head is worked in white and shaped as a tall oval. The black muzzle is made separately and sewn on the lower front. The head should look slightly larger than the body, matching the cute toy proportions in the image.

- Make sure the anchor sits centered and visible above the overall bib.
- Place the sailboat and starfish beside the zebra as separate display accessories.
Care Notes
Spot clean the zebra with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid soaking the hat, satchel, sailboat, and embroidered details. Let the piece air dry fully before storage or display.

Detailed Cleaning and Preservation Guidelines
- Keep the finished zebra away from direct sunlight for long periods to protect the blue, green, and black yarn colors.
- Store the sailboat and starfish flat so the sails and star points do not bend.
- If the mane becomes messy, trim only the very ends and avoid pulling the knots.
- Use a lint roller gently on the overalls and hat brim if dust collects.
- For long-term storage, wrap the zebra loosely in tissue paper and keep it in a dry container.
