This detailed amigurumi design recreates the sweet cow girl shown in the image. She wears a pink gingham pinafore dress decorated with tiny roses, green leaves, and brown cow-print patches. The finished set also includes flower sandals, a gingham bow, a wide-brim sun hat, a ladybug tote bag, a teacup with saucer and spoon, and a miniature sandwich.

Pattern Overview
The cow is crocheted mainly in continuous spiral rounds. The muzzle, ears, dress bib, accessories, and decorative pieces are worked separately and sewn into position. Use a stitch marker to identify the first stitch of every round.
The measurements below are based on light worsted or DK-weight cotton yarn and a 2.5 mm crochet hook. Maintain firm tension so the stuffing cannot show through the stitches.
- Skill level: Intermediate
- Finished cow height: Approximately 40 cm from the feet to the top of the horns
- Head width: Approximately 16 cm
- Dress length: Approximately 17 cm from the waist to the hem
- Sun hat diameter: Approximately 25 cm
- Handbag size: Approximately 9 cm wide and 8 cm tall
Materials
- DK or light worsted cotton yarn in white
- Light blush pink yarn
- Medium rose-pink yarn
- Dark pink yarn for the mouth and flower centers
- Chocolate-brown yarn for horns, hooves, and cow spots
- Tan or straw-colored yarn for the handbag
- Small amounts of red, black, green, yellow, cream, and gray yarn
- 2.5 mm crochet hook
- 24 mm green safety eyes
- Black embroidery thread for eyelashes and eyebrows
- White embroidery thread for eye highlights
- Fiberfill stuffing
- Yarn needle
- Stitch markers
- Straight pins
- Small amount of plastic canvas for the handbag base, optional
- Craft stuffing or a thin foam insert for the sandwich, optional
Gauge
Using the 2.5 mm hook, 24 single crochet stitches and 26 rounds should measure approximately 10 cm. Exact gauge is less important than producing dense, even stitches. Adjust the hook size when necessary while keeping all pieces proportional.

FO. Pair the triangles. Join each pair with tan sc around the two long edges and the bottom edge. Add a tiny amount of stuffing before closing.
Sandwich Fillings
Make one green triangle and one yellow triangle, following the bread instructions through Row 6 only.
Stack one bread slice, the green filling, the yellow filling, and the second bread slice. Sew through the layers near the three corners so the filling remains visible around the edges.
Final Assembly and Facial Detailing
- Sew the head opening to the upper body opening using all 30 matching stitches.
- Keep the face centered directly above the center of the dress bib.
- Sew the legs beneath the body approximately 8 stitches apart.
- Angle each leg slightly outward by approximately 5 degrees.
- Sew the arms to Body Rounds 5-8.
- Angle the arms downward approximately 35 degrees.
- Sew the ears between Head Rounds 12 and 18.
- Position the ear bases approximately 20 stitches apart across the top of the head.
- Sew the horns between Head Rounds 7 and 12.
- Place each horn approximately 5 stitches inside the corresponding ear.
- Attach the gingham bow between the horns and slightly toward the cow’s right side.
- Dress the cow and secure the waistband to the body with several hidden stitches.
- Place the sandals beneath the feet and secure the ankle straps.
Using black embroidery thread, stitch three upper eyelashes above each eye. Make the outer lashes longer than the inner lashes. Add two shorter lower lashes beneath each eye.
Embroider one curved brown eyebrow approximately three rounds above each eye. Each eyebrow should span about seven stitches and curve gently upward toward the center.
Add a tiny white highlight to the upper-left area of each green eye. Keep both highlights at matching angles.
Care Notes
- Keep the doll away from open flames and excessive heat.
- Use embroidered eyes instead of safety eyes when making the toy for a child younger than three years old.
- Check sewn decorations regularly and repair loose pieces immediately.
- Store the hat flat so the brim does not become folded.
- Avoid hanging the handbag from one handle for long periods.
Quick Checklist Before You Finish
- Both eyes are level and evenly spaced.
- The muzzle is centered beneath the eyes.
- The nostrils sit at matching heights.
- The ears are symmetrical and angle slightly downward.
- The horns curve gently outward.
- The bib is centered over the body.
- The skirt hem hangs evenly around the legs.
- The flower clusters and cow spots are securely sewn.
- The sandals fit firmly without bending the feet.
- The handbag handles, tassels, and ladybug are secure.
- All yarn tails are woven in and hidden.
Detailed Cleaning and Preservation Guidelines
Spot-clean the doll with cool water, mild soap, and a soft white cloth. Press the damp cloth against the stained area without rubbing aggressively. Blot away moisture with a dry towel.
For deeper cleaning, place the doll inside a mesh laundry bag and wash by hand in cool water. Do not twist or wring the body, dress, hat, handbag, or miniature accessories.
Reshape every part while damp. Lay the doll flat on a clean towel and allow it to air-dry completely. Turn it several times so moisture does not remain inside the stuffing.
Wash the hat, handbag, teacup, saucer, spoon, and sandwich separately. Shape the hat brim with pins on a blocking mat and allow it to dry flat.
Store the completed set in a clean, dry location away from direct sunlight. Place acid-free tissue beneath the hat brim and inside the handbag to help preserve their shape.
