Meet a playful woodland garden duo made with soft amigurumi shaping: one tall white mouse doll wearing a blue striped sailor-style shirt, pink paws, big pink ears, a red nose, blue eye patches, sandals, a tiny yellow flower, and a side sailor cap; plus one shorter rounded mouse doll with a green vest, brown crossbody satchel, sleepy face, pink ears, mushroom accent, sandals, acorn, round woodland cushion, and leaf accessory.
Please note: I strive for accuracy in every pattern, but occasional errors can happen. Thank you for understanding and for enjoying my designs.
Pattern Overview
This pattern is written in US crochet terms and is designed as a detailed amigurumi set. The tall doll is worked with a longer neck, slim arms, long legs, large ears, oval feet, and a fitted striped top. The shorter doll is built with a large rounded head, compact body, small feet, sad face, vest, satchel, and woodland details.
Most parts are crocheted in continuous spiral rounds unless a different method is stated. Use a stitch marker at the first stitch of each round. Stuff each piece firmly enough to keep the shape, but do not overstuff the ears, vest, bag, flowers, leaves, or clothing pieces.

General Notes

- When changing colors, complete the final yarn-over of the last stitch with the new color.
- For clean stripes, make the color change at the back of the body.
- Pin all pieces in place before sewing. This is very important for matching the face angles and accessory placement.

Final Assembly and Facial Detailing
- Pin every part before sewing. Check that the tall doll has a long upright neck, large ears, blue eye patches, red nose, sailor shirt, pink hands, long legs, blue sandals, and side tail.
- Pin the short doll so the head looks round and oversized. The ears should sit lower than the tall doll’s ears, and the sleepy eyes should angle downward.
- Sew the tall doll’s head securely onto the neck. Add several passes of yarn through the neck and head base so it does not wobble.
- Sew the tall doll’s arms just under the shoulder line of the striped shirt. Keep the arms slightly forward.
- Sew the tall doll’s legs to the lower body so the doll sits with the feet forward.
- Sew the short doll’s vest lightly along the sides and front edges. Do not pull too tightly or the rounded body shape will flatten.
- Sew the satchel strap diagonally across the short doll. Attach the pouch at the lower front.
- Use black yarn to embroider the tall doll’s tiny mouth, if desired, just under the red nose. Keep it very small.
- Use black yarn to embroider the short doll’s frown below the cheek pads. This is an important part of the character expression.
- Add the mushroom, leaves, flower, buttons, sandals, acorn, round cushion, and green leaf accessory last.
Care Notes
- Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap.
- Do not soak if you used wooden buttons or glued details.
- Let the dolls air dry flat on a towel.
- Reshape ears, noses, and feet gently while damp.
- Keep display dolls away from direct sunlight to protect the bright blue, red, pink, and green colors.
Quick Checklist Before You Finish
- Tall doll: blue eye patches are even, red nose is centered, ears are large and pink inside, shirt stripes are neat, buttons are vertical, and sandals face forward.
- Short doll: face looks sleepy and grumpy, red nose is centered, vest sits evenly, pocket is visible, satchel crosses the body, and mushroom accent is secure.
- Accessories: acorn has a darker cap, leaf has vein details, round cushion is flat and even, and all small pieces are sewn tightly.
Detailed Cleaning and Preservation Guidelines
- Use a lint roller or soft brush to remove dust from the yarn surface.
- For small stains, dab gently instead of rubbing. Rubbing can fuzz the stitches and distort the shape.
- If the dolls need deeper cleaning, place them in a mesh laundry bag and hand wash only in cool water.
- Press out water with a towel. Do not twist the dolls, because twisting can shift the stuffing and bend the necks.
- Store the dolls in a breathable cotton bag or clean box. Add tissue paper around the ears and accessories to prevent flattening.
- Check buttons, straps, flowers, and mushroom details regularly if the dolls are handled often.
