Gauge
With the 3.5 mm hook, 20 single crochet stitches and 22 rows should measure approximately 4 inches. With the 2.75 mm hook, 24 single crochet stitches and 26 rounds should measure approximately 4 inches.
Exact gauge is less important than creating dense fabric. The stitches must be tight enough to hide stuffing, wire, and plastic canvas. Use a smaller hook when necessary.

Important Construction Notes
Work continuous rounds unless the instructions say to join. Place a marker in the first stitch of every round. Use invisible decreases throughout the animals, pumpkins, mushrooms, and other stuffed pieces.
Loop every exposed wire end into a small closed circle before covering it. Wrap sharp areas with yarn or floral tape. The finished treehouse is intended as a decorative display rather than a toy.
Cut a foam-board rectangle to match the crocheted base. Insert the board between two crocheted base layers or secure the crocheted panel firmly over it. Anchor the central dowel through the foam board before attaching the tree trunk.

Care Notes
Keep the display indoors and away from strong direct sunlight. Support the base with both hands when moving it. Never carry the display by the tree trunk, roof, branches, or market posts.
Remove the LED batteries during long storage periods. Keep the display away from open flames, heaters, pets, and very young children.
Quick Checklist Before You Finish
- Confirm that the base lies flat.
- Confirm that the tree support is vertical and stable.
- Check all wire ends for complete coverage.
- Count 18 staircase steps.
- Check that both tree doors and all three windows are attached.
- Confirm that the roof contains layered leaves, bark strips, flowers, chimney, and curled sprout.
- Check that the market canopy has eight alternating stripes and eight scalloped tabs.
- Confirm that the river, boat, path, fences, sign, produce, mushrooms, baskets, and eight woodland figures are included.
- Test every LED light before securing the battery pack.
Detailed Cleaning and Preservation Guidelines
Dust the display with a clean, soft makeup brush or a handheld vacuum set to its lowest power. Cover the vacuum nozzle with mesh so small flowers and produce cannot be pulled away.
Spot-clean cotton yarn with a barely damp cloth and mild soap. Do not soak the completed display because the internal board, wire, canvas, and structural rod may distort or retain moisture.
Allow damp areas to air-dry completely. Store the treehouse upright inside a large breathable box. Place acid-free tissue around the roof leaves and branches so they retain their curves without being crushed.
